Secrets of the Two Spiritual Trees

Introduction

This subject of the Two Spiritual Trees is an extremely effecatious subject that pertains to many truths of death and life for the human. I list the scriptures  and the scripture references for several reasons. 1. They are the words of God. 2. So you can see that these thoughts, no matter how deep they are, are in the Bible. 3. The scriptures are designed to show you mental pictures of spiritual realities. The first lesson of the Bible centers around the Two Spiritual Trees. At the end of the Bible, the only spiritual tree left is the Tree of Life in Heaven. As you read the scriptures, keep in mind that you will not only see visual images of spiritual things but you will also be touched by God’s Spirit in such a way that you will even perceive implications of things that are not seen but are etenally real. Once you know Truth, you know it and an understanding of Truth is quite intoxicating, exciting and elating to the mind of the natural man. I list the scriptures and the scripture references for several reasons;

  1. They are the words of God. (Matthew 4:4, John 6:63-70)
  2. God’s words impart pictures of things not seen. (2 Corinthians 4:18)
  3. So you realize that these thoughts are God’s thoughts and not mine not just mine. (Isaiah 55:8)
  4. Because they are line upon line, precept upon precept (some realities are based upon other realities. (Isaiah 28:10)
  5. Even though these things are impossible, they are real, they are sure and they are wonderful. (Matthew 19:26)

Seek ye the LORD while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and He will have mercy upon Him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off. (Isaiah 55:6-13)

This passage of scripture shows how the words of God work through the mind to be planted deep into the soil of the human heart. God’s words are containers of spiritual realities that fall down from Heaven like seeds and raindrops that water the seeds,

Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow: And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up. And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth: But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit. And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred. And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. (Mark 4:3-9)

In both passages of scripture you can see that the words of God are seeds and raindrops that fall into the heart of man and there are different levels of soil. While the heart of man is made up of 4 types of soil, dry ground, rocky ground, thorny ground and good ground, only one of the four types of ground bore a harvest back up to God. Thoe whose hearts were good ground bore fruit of an eternal harvest. That is only 25% of the ground bears good fruit and that is the good ground. Which groud are you? Do you not realize you are going to die and you must be ready to enter into eternity the right way if you are going to profit forever. What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul? What can a man give in exchange for his soul? You can spend some time on your soul can you not? The Two Spiritual Trees are God’s first teaching of the Bible in the pictorial language of the Spirit. If you can get this picture, you will be able to understand the Bible. I hope you win! Now let us proceed to the topic of this book, which is the Two Spiritual Trees.

And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the Tree of Life also in the midst of the garden, and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. (Genesis 2:9)

Some secrets are blessings, and some secrets are curses, but the secrets of God are hidden treasures. When it comes to discovering secrets, some secrets are instant, and some secrets unfold over time. The secrets of Heaven takes God thousands of years to develop and humans a lifetime to learn and then some secrets are only learned after death. The secrets of God impart eternal life. The Bible imparts the secrets of eternity from the Spirit of God, through the words of God, so we can walk in the ways of God, and live forever in the presence of God. The Tree of Life is the source of the knowledge of the Truth of eternity that you can eat and live forever. If you fail to learn those secrets of eternity, you will wish you were never born. there were an unlimited volume of trees in the Garden of Eden, but the Two Trees in the midst of the Garden of Eden were spiritual trees. These two trees unveil the picture of the two spiritual natures that are available to man-kind.

Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and keep it. (Genesis 2:15)

This passage of scripture reveals much that is hidden beneath the surface of the words. First of all, The Garden of Eden was God’s meeting place with man and God put Adam there in a paradise where he could totally succed and then God gave Adam a job of growing the fruitfulness of the Garden. Adam was supposed to rule over the Garden, care for it and protect it from all intruders. The phrase “tend and keep it,” means make it fruitful and keep guard over it. That means there are enemies somewhere in the universe and Adam’s job was to keep them out of the Garden. I could also say that God appointed Him to rule in planet earth and guard against all spiritual enemies on behalf of the Kingdom of Heaven. In other words, God delegated the political dominion to rule as the human governor over the human race appointed by the Kingdom of Heaven and it was His job to protect the colony of planet earth, the human race and the food supply from all enemies. As you can see, there are the young people who need to be taught and then there are the adults who are supposed to understand truth. Are you getting the picture? Few people on planet earth understand the necessity of boundaries to care for and protect what is good in an evil world. Boundaries were necessary even in the beginning. If parents can focus upon teaching their children about the necessity of boundaries, the kids would be able to discern things that are evil and depart from the ways of death. (Proverbs 4:12) Lacking knowledge only opens the door to deception and destruction. (Hosea 4:6). This is part of the lesson of the Bible. God is good and the devil is bad. God isn’t just having kids, but He is enlarging His heavenly family with Sons.

And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” (Genesis 2:15-17)

Then God sets the boundaries with Adam. This passage of scripture says that God “commanded” Adam to not eat of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Keep in mind that God is growing the human race as His garden and the first man Adam is God’s governor that will be responsible for God’s Garden of the human race. God said, “Do Not Eat of This Tree. If you do you will die.” Isn’t that what God said? Yes, but not really. The Hebrew word here is “mut, mut,” which means “die, die,” amd is translated as “surely die,” or “in dying you shall die.” God was telling Adam that death is a plural process, spirit, soul and body. God was saying, “The day you eat you shall die spiritually, which will cause you to die physically and remain dead eternally.” Adam is the first president so to speak and he is in charge of the whole earth and the human race and He must be responsible for all humanity in his decisions, which will affect everyone else. This is still true for us today. Whatever Adam does will affect the human race in his loins just like whatever you do affects your whole family. Whatever he decides will be law to the whole human race. There are fruit bearing trees without number in the Garden of Eden, but the Two Trees in the midst of the Garden are Two Spiritual Trees that impart two spiritual natures to the first man and all his seed. The spiritual tree that Adam eats from will bear its spiritual nature in Adam and be passed down to all his kids. Whatever decisions Adam makes will be passed down to all humanity through the bloodlines of the fathers. God said, “DO NOT eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. No matter what good and evil is, we don’t want the spiritual nature of good and evil. The midst of the Garden is a symbolic picture of your heart where you meet with and fellowship with God in reality. The Two Spiritual Trees in the midst of the Garden are the source of the two spiritual natures that are available unto to the heart of man. Whatever Adam decides, we decide. Whatever Adam does, we do! Whatever Adam eats, we eat because every human being at this point is still in Adam’s loins. The first Adam is God’s picture to us of the last Adam, who will do His job correctly before God for us all.

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. (Proverbs 4:7)

It been said by Wikipedia that knowledge and understanding are two interconnected concepts, yet they possess distinct characteristics. Knowledge is the accumulation of facts, information, data, and skills acquired through experience, education, or study. It is the awareness or familiarity with something, often obtained through observation, research, or learning from others. Knowledge is objective and can be shared or transferred from one person to another. It is typically based on evidence, logic, and reasoning, and can be tested or validated. Understanding goes beyond mere knowledge. It involves the ability to comprehend the information acquired, allowing one to grasp the underlying meaning and significance. Understanding requires critical thinking, analysis, and the ability to connect different pieces of knowledge to form a comprehensive picture. While knowledge provides the foundation, understanding enables individuals to apply their knowledge effectively and make informed decisions.” I like that description.

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power, (Ephesians 1:17-19)

Then there is wisdom. The Bible calls Wisdom “the Spirit of Wisdom” that opens the eyes of our understanding. Adam heard the call of God but they eyes of his heart hadn’t been opened yet. I’m sure you’ve had moments when all of a sudden it dawned upon you and you said, “What was I thinking,” or “I should’ve had a V8, etc. Wisdom doesn’t need to know everything. In Adam’s case, wisdom could have been experience just through His obedience. When you are walking with God, you don’t need to know the reason for everything, but you do need to obey God so you can live forever with Him. Through the obedience of faith our eyes are opened unto truth. (Romans 1:5) This was the process God was trying to accomplish in the Garden of Eden. Wisdom is the ability to use the knowledge in the most beneficial way for everyone involved and that is developed more from the heart of man rather than through just the soul of man. The soul operates more by the five senses while the heart of man obtains the wisdom of Love and God is after Love because God is Love. (1 John 4:16)  The Tree of knowledge limits the human to a mere SELF-program, but the Wisdom of God flows from the Tree of Life as the fruit of the Spirit, which becomes our spiritual nature of Love that fits us for Heaven. (Galatians 5:22-23) The Tree of Life becomes the Fountain of Life for the believer that walks in obedience to the Spirit of Truth. The foundation lesson of Bible Truth is an understanding of human nature, the evil that lurks within every human heart or the obedience of faith within the heart of the believer to depart from the ways of death. Spiritually speaking, seeing is not believing but rather believing is seeing. (John 9:39-41, Ecclesiastes 9:5)

The Serpent’s Deception

Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’? And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil. So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings. And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.” And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?  Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.” And the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

So we see a rebel spirit dressed up in the body of a serpent and he comes into the Garden with a big old smile on his face telling lies. The Bible calls him Satan, the serpent, the dragon. Jesus called him the stranger, the father of lies, the wolf, a murderer from the beginning, the prince of this world, etc. He was once a glorious angel in a position of authority until He was lifted up in pride, he led a rebellion among the angels and SIN was found in Him so God casted him out. Now here he is tempting Eve and through Eve he manipulates the first man Adam. Just like he did with many angels, he manipulated Adam and Eve into disobedience unto God, but what he really did was steal the dominion of God’s government on planet earth from Adam. The Bible says that he is now the god of this world, the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that works in the children of disobedience. Adam and Eve chose to join Satan’s program of SIN and when their eyes were opened and they knew they were naked, that is when they were born of Satan’s spiritual nature. The light of God went out in their spirits and they knew that their crown of glory was gone so they tried to figure out a way to cover that unclean feeling by working together and doing good, but to no avail. You can’t cover the lost of the fruits of the Spirit with the fruits of earth. The spiritual nature must go through a change and as the father of spirits, this problem is somethin only God can fix. The devil is in control now of planet earth and the whole human race is now under his dominion. We are all born into this world with Satan’s spiritual nature of the self-program of SIN, passed down from Adam through the bloodlines of the fathers. The dispensation of planet earth for 7000 years is now under the control of Satan and his rulers of the darkness of this world. (Ephesians 6:12) Whether we like it or not the holy war is on and only God has the power to fix the problem in his colony called earth. (Proverbs 24:1, Matthew 13:38)

God Arraigns Adam and Eve

And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat. And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat. And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life. And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Now when God comes back into Eden to fellowship with His heart-creatures called man, they are hiding from love, clothed in aprons of good works. The light of their crown of glory has gone out and they are coming up with excuses. Instead of Adam keeping the Garden safe from all intruders, he has committed high treason against God. Yet God knew this would happen and He knew what He would do in response. As the result of their hideous sin, God made them “the promise.” The first promise in the Bible is from God to the whole human race in Adam’s loins. He spoke to Satan and told him “I will send the seed of the woman to crush your head. You will hurt you but He will destroy you.” God was saying the woman shall conceive and bear a son. (Isaiah 7:14) God was saying to Satan, to Adam and Eve, and to all humanity, I will send the second man from Heaven. He will accomplish redemption for all humanity from Satan’s dominion and powers of death. All the fathers were looking for the promised seed of the woman to come. Abraham saw the day of Christ when He obediently offered Isaac up to God on the altar and God gave Isaac back to Abraham through the substitution of an innocent soul that has no sin nature. (John 8:56) The prophets inquired of God ernestly about the promised seed and God swore by Himself and established His promise with Abraham by blood covenant. That day finally came in the fullness of time when Jesus was born of the virgin called Mary. Until that day Satan had tried through Pharoah to destroy all the babies in Moses’ time and then through King Herod he killed all the babies and tried to stop the promised seed from coming but to no avail. When Jesus landed on planet earth, the war was on. Satan then inspired the pharisees to kill Jesus upon the cross, not knowing that it was God’s plan for Jesus through death to destroy him that has the power of death, which is the devil. (Hebrews 2:14-15) Jesus walked all over Israel telling the Pharisees that the scriptures are all about Him and that He came from Heaven to destroy the devil and that God was His father. He went about doing good and healing all that were afflicted of the devil and God was with Him. Jesus said He came from Heaven to do the will of the heavenly Father and become a ransom for us so we who are believers can all go to Heaven forever.

The Punishment of Mankind

Unto the woman He said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

Human, you have a problem that is impossible for you to solve that requires a supernatural solution only God can provide. It is the DEATH problem. Adam and Eve walked away from God and they jumped on Satan’s bandwagon with the whole human race in the crib of their loins. Imagine how God must have felt when He saw all His babies put to death by Satan in the place called paradise. You are going to die and there is nothing you can do to stop it. The Good News of the Bible is that God has provided a supernatural solution to our death problem. It is a wonderful miracle that only God could perform. However we can’t fully understand God’s solution without first understanding the problem. All our lives we have formed our thoughts and opinions upon the things which are seen, but unseen spiritual things are more real than natural things. God wants to open our eyes to the things which are not seen so we can live and not die, forever. (Psalm 118:17)

The Expulsion from Paradise

Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them. And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the Tree of Life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So He drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. (Genesis 3:1-25)

This book is not all the truth that can be taught from this passage of scripture, but it is the foundation of understanding truth in the Bible. Remember that the Book of Genesis is the book of seeds. The Garden of Eden is filled with the seeds of truth. Every concept of truth that is taught in the Bible is found in the Book of Genesis in seed form. You can see a seed of truth begin in the book of Genesis and watch it grow as you go through the whole bible until you get to the last book of Revelation and it is fully bloomed into a big Tree of Life. God drove Adam and Eve out of the Garden of paradise called Eden and He assigned angels to stand at the entrance of Eden with flaming swords (symbolic of hell) so they wouldn’t be able to come back in and eat of the Tree of Life and live forever in their sinful condition. Even that was love working things out for them. This lesson can go on forever but this book is primarily about the Two Spiritual Trees. The Tree of Life for us now is the Cross with the Son of God hanging on it accomplishing redemption for us so we can return unto God as though we have never sinned as we learn to live by Him. As we trust in Christ and depend upon Him within, He gives us the spiritual nature of obedience unto God. That brings me back to the lesson of the Two Spiritual Trees. Today we have the same choice Adam and Eve had. We can live by Adam or we can live by Jesus. In our new book, “The Operation of God, Secret of Redemption,” we teach about how God put us in Chrsit upon the cross just like He put us all in Adam in the Garden. Jesus is now the Tree of Life for us. Jesus said as we eat Him and abide in Him, we will bear much fruit becuase without Him we CAN DO nothing. (John 15:4-11) We all eat from the Two Spiritual Trees today. The Two Spiritual Trees are the two spiritual natures of Adam or Christ. As we eat Adam’s spiritual nature, we will follow the lusts of the flesh as we live only for SELF. As we eat of the divine nature of Christ that was made available to us through the cross, we are feeding from the real Tree of Life, which is Christ in us. As we abide in his death and in His divine nature of life, God has promised that we shall live forever by Christ in us. (John 15:4-9, Matthew 7:17-20)

And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven. (1 Corinthians 15:45-47)

Adam chose to disobey God and brought death into the race, which has been passed down to all of Adam’s seed since the beginning. We are all born into planet earth in the image of Adam as living souls, but we need to be born again of the quickenign Spirit of Christ to be made alive unto God by Christ in us. We go into great detail about this in our book; “The Operation of God. Secret of Redemption.” This passage of scripture defines the human nature without God that has passed down to the whole human race from Adam through the bloodlines of the fathers. Adam is the natural man with a living soul. Jesus is the second man from Heaven who is a quickening Spirit. The first man Adam obeyed Satan and in doing so he separated from God and became a child of the devil. The spiritual nature of Adam has been passed down to all of us His progeny through the bloodlines of the fathers unto our current day. So we are born of Adam as children of the devil that live by the self-program that utilizes the five senses of the soul to live without God. We have all been trained by the world to go our own way, do our own will, be our own gods and live for SELF without God. This is the first spiritual lesson of the Bible. It teaches us how we got our spiritual nature of Satan’s self-program of disobedience passed down to us from Adam through the bloodlines of our fathers. (Colossians 3:6-8) God’s first promise in the Bible was to send the Son from heaven with the divine nature. Through death He would crush the head of the serpent and deliver us from Satan’s powers of death. Through resurrection He would give us His divine nature as we walk in the obedience of faith. As sons of God we share in the dominion of Christ over the enemy of our souls (Luke 10:19) and we learn to depart from the ways of death. (Proverbs 14:12)

For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. (1 Corinthians 15:22)

The second man from Heaven was Jesus Christ. He wasn’t born of Adam, but He came by virgin birth. He bequeaths unto us His divine nature of obedience unto God. He lives by the Spirit of God and through faith in Him we receive His Spirit of eternal life. When we come to Jesus with all our hearts, He quickens us by His Spirit and are born again of His Spirit. In Christ we grow up into obedient Sons of God with an eternal inheritance. (1 Peter 1:4-5) The Bible calls it “being born again from above.” Those that are born of God know His voice and as they follow Him and the voice of His Spirit guides us into all Truth. (John 16:13-15) So here you see the two men that impart to us their spiritual nature, Adam with his nature of disobeying God and Christ with His divine nature of obeying God. In everything Jesus did, He obeyed His father God. Jesus never when anywhere without being sent by God. Jesus never did anything without being led by God. Jesus never spoke any words to anyone without God’s instructing Him what to say. Three times it is mentioned in the New Testament that God spoke from Heaven saying, “This is my beloved Son that always pleases me so Listen to Him. (Matthew 3:17, 17:5, Mark  9:7, 2 Peter 1:17) Everything Jesus said either came to pass or is coming to pass. Then He promised to give us the same power over the enemy of our souls. (Luke 10:19)

My son, if you receive my words, And treasure my commands within you, So that you incline your ear to wisdom, And apply your heart to understanding; Yes, if you cry out for discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding, If you seek her as silverAnd search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will understand the fear of the Lord And find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth comes knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly; He guards the paths of justice, And preserves the way of His saints. Then you will understand righteousness and justice, equity, and every good path. When wisdom enters your heart, And knowledge is pleasant to your soul, discretion will preserve you; understanding will keep you, To deliver you from the way of evil, (Proverbs 2:1-11)

This passage is the first part of the book of Proverbs, chapter 2, designed to show the human what wisdom really is. First things should always be first and so it is with God. Just as it is in the natural, even so it is in the spiritual. But everything begins with seeds and so it is with Truth. Everything above ground that you can see with your eyes came out of the ground and all will return to the ground. Even today every form of knowledge begins with a seed. This reality is true of all the divine secrets. Even the concepts of truth begin with seeds. Words and thoughts are seeds from the Spirit of God that bring things into visible existence and alter our eternal destinies. The Truth of God also begins with seeds which are the words of God. The words of God impart to us spiritual concepts and mental pictures that help us to depart from the ways of death as our way of life. Over time God grows us up into His very own Sons through the knowledge that flows from His Spirit of Truth. (John 14:17) Yet truth is only understood properly when it travels 12 inches from the head into the heart of man. Then it empowers us to live by Jesus’ Son-program instead of by Adam’s Self-program.

But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: (1 Corinthians 1:30)

As we live by Jesus and walk with God by faith, Christ becomes our spiritual nature so that we grow up into Him and are filled with His wisdom, which delivers us from the powers of Satan and God calls us His very own Sons. First we are babes in Christ, then children of God and finally full grown Sons of God. As Sons we walk in His wisdom and are filled with His Spirit. Wisdom is the spiritual nature that keeps you safe from the evil nature and delivers you from the ways of death(Proverbs 14:12) You can see all through the Bible that God talks to you as His son because He plans on you becoming His very own Son. That is why He created you. That is why Jesus died and rose again for you, so you could become a Son. (John 1:12-13) The Son listens to and obeys his Heavenly Father and is safe. You also see the Spirit of Wisdom warning you so you escape from the traps that are laid in this world that will cause you to die and be lost. In the book of Proverbs God uses the Spirit of wisdom like a master sergeant to train us to walk by faith so we can escape from Satan’s traps of death. (Proverbs 14:12) The Lord gives wisdom to us so we can understand the way of eternal life, keep ourselves from every deception and preserve ourselves from every spiritual stronghold of the devil. (Proverbs 2:6, 8:13) The book of Proverbs continues by showing us that the ways of death are manifested in two male and female streams of life called the evil man, and the strange woman.

The Evil Man

From the man who speaks perverse things, From those who leave the paths of uprightness, To walk in the ways of darkness; Who rejoice in doing evil, And delight in the perversity of the wicked; Whose ways are crooked, And who are devious in their paths; (Proverbs 2:12-15)

This second chapter of the book of Proverbs continues by showing us that the ways of death are manifested in two masculine and feminine streams of life called, the evil man, and the strange woman. Here in this passage of scripture we see the evil man. Just as trees are either male or female, so it is with God’s trees called humans. (Matthew 7:15-20) In Heaven there is no male or female, but we are all the Sons of God. There is no no good or evil, but as children of God we walk in obedience to the truth. However, on earth we are the male and female children of the devil thanks to Adam, until we are born again of God. (1 John 3:10) As children of the devil, we live to be our own gods, do our own will, go our own way and live or self. Cain is the picture of the cursed man who chose to live his life without God. See our blog called “Secret of Eternity” to learn about the new birth. In our first birth, we are born as a natural man, an outward man, a carnal man, filled with the self-program passed down to us from Adam. In disobedience, He ate of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, which ends in death and His spiritual nature of death was passed down to all of us. As the progeny of Adam, we live by the same Tree of Knowledge, and we grow up learning how to live by the ways of death(Proverbs 14:12) Those that are full of themselves are living by the evil man and the strange woman.

The Strange Woman

To deliver you from the immoral woman, From the seductress who flatters with her words, Who forsakes the companion of her youth, And forgets the covenant of her God. For her house leads down to death, And her paths to the dead; None who go to her return, Nor do they regain the paths of life, So you may walk in the way of goodness, And keep to the paths of righteousness. (Proverbs 2:16-22)

Now we see in this passage of scripture the strange woman. In both streams of human nature, male and female, the knowledge of good and evil are designed to snare the male man and female man in the ways of death that flow from Satan’s SELF-program. We are all born with a big fat S.E.L.F. which stands for Satan’s Evil Love of Folly. This lifestyle of death while we are on earth separates the human from God as the children of the devil. When you are dead to God, you are dead spiritually. That is why we die physically. That is why Jesus said, “You Must Be Born Again of the Spirit” so we can live forever by Him (John 3:7-16) From our book Death and Life, Secret of the Bible.

In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother. (1 John 3:10)

On planet earth, as children of the devil, we are either male or female and that is the way we see ourselves. However God sees our spirits and He see that we are either dead or alive, good, or evil, children of God or children of the devil. The end result is that all humans who live only to walk in the ways of death for the pleasure of the SELF-program, will be cut off and uprooted out of the earth forever. Those who walk in the Spirit and live by Jesus, will remain in God’s presence forever. In the first man Adam we got our flesh, but in the Bible the word flesh doesn’t refer to our physical bodies, but our spiritual nature of living without God in the lusts and desires of the flesh. I call it the self. The Bible calls it “the outward man of the flesh vs the inward man of our spirit. (2 Corinthians 4:16-18) Our physical bodies are just the outward shell that our spirit lives in. The seed of a tree is a good example. Just like the outward shell must dissolve for the inward part to grow into a tree, even so we shall lose the outward shell of our bodies one day. Then our spirits will go to our eternal home. If you are living by the outward man, you will be lost forever, but if you are living by the inward man unto God, you will live forever with God. The resurrection of Jesus is our historical example.

For the upright will dwell in the land, And the blameless will remain in it; But the wicked will be cut off from the earth, And the unfaithful will be uprooted from it. (Proverbs 22:21)

While we are in this world, from our inward parts we will either bear fruit unto God or unto self. In the last Adam, which is Jesus Christ, we get a new spirit with His divine nature that bears fruit unto God and makes us fit for Heaven. (1 Corinthians 15:45-47) That is only because Jesus paid the price of redemption so we could receive salvation. Jesus didn’t have our spiritual nature. Jesus was the Son of God, the perfect man, who acknowledge that God was His Father. God sent Jesus from Heaven to earth through the virgin birth to put on a flesh body and become a man for us so we can see the fruit of the Spirit. Jesus came to show us the life that is eternal and then die on the cross as our substitute. In this way He would take our punishment for sin and procure God’s mercy towards us so that we could receive the Spirit of Christ into our hearts, return to God and live forever.

The Ways of Death

There is a way that seems right to a man, But the end thereof are the ways of death. (Proverbs 14:12)

The Bible teaches us that the two spiritual natures of death and life which manifest in our spirits and souls are determined by our choice of spiritual provision, either from God or Satan. Adam made the wrong decision for himself and for us as his progeny in the human family. His spiritual nature of living separated from God has been passed down to every human that has ever been born into planet earth, including you and me. It is human nature of man to live for SELF, but that program is an never-ending list of do’s and don’ts that culminate in the ways of death. What you do doesn’t necessarily define the kind of person you are. The Bible says every man that lives without God is a liar. (Romans 3:4) The world teaches the self-help mottos that produce the ways of death. Set a goal, make a plan, stay focused, work hard, succeed, be all that you can be and stay humble. The human feels a sense of self-satisfaction, but the truth is the are living life without God and are walking in the ways of death, which separates humans from God. Death isn’t just the physical body dying. Death is a way of living life without God that ends in death. Just like Adam, while we live in this world, we choose our spiritual nature from the same two spiritual trees. At natural birth we begin our journey in eternity by eating of the spiritual tree of knowledge, which manifests in us the good and evil ways of death. However, the good news is that because of Jesus we can eat of the Tree of Life and live forever. The moment we call out to God, we become spiritually alive unto God, and we begin to depart from the ways of death.

Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my Spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. (Proverbs 1:23)

Just like on earth, so it is in Heaven, a tree is determined by its fruit. On earth we bare the fruit of the character of our natural father Adam. In Heaven the trees are humans, and the fruit is the character of the human, which is Christ. In Heaven there is no male or female, no good or evil, but we are all the Sons of God. (Galatians 4:4-5) However, on earth we are the male and female children of the devil thanks to Adam, until we are born again of God. (John 8:44) The Tree of knowledge of good and evil is the knowledge, but the knowledge of God is heart knowledge because God is love. (John 16:13) No matter how good or evil we are, how pretty or handsome we are, we are either dead or alive spiritually and we decide who’s our daddy!

In the Beginning; God!

Everything began with God, and everything will end with God. The first book of the Bible is Genesis, the book of beginnings. It is God’s seed plot where all the seeds of truth are found. The first time a truth is mentioned in the Bible, it is a seed. Just like trees begin with a seed and humans begin with a seed, even so the knowledge of eternal truth, begins with seeds from the Tree of Life. The words of God are seeds that grow into truth for eternity. In the book of Genesis we can see a seed of truth and watch it grow all the way through the other books of the Bible until it is fully bloomed in the last book of the Bible, the book of Revelation. The Bible begins with God’s method and purpose of creation to enlarge His heavenly family. The first thing He demonstrates is the creation of man and putting Him in the Garden of Eden. God is the original gardener, and His garden is the human race. (John 15:1-2) The weeds will be cut down and cast into the fire, but the good fruit he will trim to bear more fruit. The harvest God will save, and He will get a huge harvest. (Matthew 7:17-20, 9:37-38))

The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. (1 Corinthians 15:47)

Here in this passage of scripture lies the hidden mystery of godliness(1 Timothy 3:16) If you can understand this one truth properly, you will be able to understand the whole Bible. There are two kinds of men in the world, the living, and the dead, those who live by the spiritual nature of the first man Adam, and those who are living by the divine nature of second man from Heaven. If you are living by Adam’s spiritually dead nature of self, you are spiritually dead and separated from God. If you are living by the divine nature of Christ, then you are alive unto God forever. God formed the first man Adam out of the earth as the seed of the human race. God breathed the breath of life into him and then put him into His meeting place called the Garden of Eden. This is the place of intimacy where all the goodness of God can be poured into the fruitful man. The fact that God creates the first man Adam in His own image and likeness, as the seed of the human race, proves this. (Genesis 1:26-27) God formed the fleshy body of Adam from the ground and out of one man came the whole human race. (Romans 5:12) We are all the progeny of Adam. (Acts 17:26) Science has confirmed that all men on planet earth, male or female, come from one man. The Bible calls Adam the figure of the one to come which was Christ. (Romans 5:14) Just as it was with the first man Adam, so it is with the second man from Heaven, Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:45-47) The natural man called Adam was the seed of the human family. Even so the spiritual man, the second man from Heaven, became the last Adam for us. Jesus Christ is the promised seed, born of the virgin, that begets the new birth of the human spirit into God’s eternal family. Seeing that God intimately and lovingly breathed into Adam’s nostrils the breath of life shows that mankind is God’s beloved heart treasure. The intimacy by which God creates the first man Adam shows that He will be the object of God’s love forever. God begins His purpose of enlarging His heavenly family with the creation of the universe to serve as a foundation for planet earth. Then God creates planet earth to give man a place to live. Finally as the climax of creation, God creates man in His image and likeness for the purpose of enlarging His eternal heavenly family. In Adam we are all born of the flesh, but in Christ, we are all born again of the Spirit of God. One of the first rules of Bible interpretation and revelation is that God uses natural things of the world to reveal spiritual things of Truth in the spiritual world. For example, the Bible paints the picture that in this vast universe, planet earth is God’s field(Matthew 13:38-40) In God’s field, humans are living trees(Psalm 1:3-6) All flesh is as grass and the glory of man is as a flower(1 Peter 1:24, Psalm 103:15-16) After reading these two passages of scripture, you can clearly see how God uses natural things to reveal spiritual things in the Bible. Somewhere in the field of the world is the Garden of Eden, symbolic of the human heart, the meeting place where the creator communes with the creature and the heart of the creature is proved for the fellowship of love. God’s purpose for creation is to grow up the living trees called humans, into His very own fruitful Sons and enlarge His heavenly family(Matthew 13:38, 1 Corinthians 10:26) Jesus always called God the heavenly father.

Furthermore, we had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of spirits, and live? (Hebrews 12;9)

God is the Father of spirits, and He is enlarging His heavenly family, (Hebrews 12:9) Your body is just the outward shell of your spirit, and your spirit is the real you that will either bear fruit of the divine nature unto God (Galatians 5:22-23) or the weeds of the wicked nature of the flesh that is to be burned in the fire(Galatians 5:19-21, Matthew 7:17) Your stay on earth will only be for a little while and then the outward shell of your body will dissolve and your spirit, the real you, will pass into your eternal destiny with or without God. Just like we have families in this natural world, even so God is enlarging His heavenly family with human spirits who walk in obedience unto Him and are destined to become the Sons of God. (Ephesians 3:14-19) Can you see how God is a good farmer? (John 15:1-7) The creation began with a Garden, and it will end with God getting a great harvest. (Matthew 9:37) These are some of the foundational truth from God that helps us to understand the Bible.

And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the Tree of Life also in the midst of the garden and the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil. (Genesis 2:9)

The next thing God demonstrates in the beginning with the first man is that of the Two Spiritual Trees in the Garden of Eden. Again, before we get into the two types of knowledge that flows from the Two Spiritual Trees, we must remember that first things come first and so it is with God. Getting the foundation right is the most important thing or the spiritual house will not last forever. God uses the Two Spiritual Trees because the foundation of our spiritual nature must be set in Adam’s heart for eternity. The whole human family is in Adam’s loins and being that God is love, Adam must turn on the spiritual nature of God’s love in his heart through obedience, so that the divine nature can be passed down to all his offspring, including you and me. Divine love is only found in obeying God because God is Love and obedience unto God is the fellowship of Love, which is the foundation of eternal life. (1 John 4:8) We see that God gave the man freedom to eat of all the trees in the Garden, because love is freely given, but love is also wisely chosen. For this reason there were Two Spiritual Trees in the midst of the Garden and so it is in the heart of every man. The Two Spiritual Trees generate two types of knowledge in the human heart, the knowledge of good and evil which generates a natural man, or the knowledge of eternal life, which generates a spiritual man. That isn’t too hard to understand is it?

And the Lord God took the man and put him into the Garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. (Genesis 2:15)

God created man out of the ground, in His image and likeness, but the man doesn’t yet have God’s spiritual nature. That will be the next step that will determine the foundation of man’s eternal destiny as the man will decide what his spiritual nature will be. We see that God puts the man to work in the Garden of Eden to grow and protect it. This natural principle symbolizes God’s desire to grow, protect and enlarge the orchard of His heavenly family. We are all created by God for His purpose, which is far greater than what we can conceive with our mere imaginations. This passage suggests that man must work in our natural world to develop naturally, but he must also protect the Garden of his heart to grow spiritually. He must keep God’s meeting place free from all enemies that would come into the Garden to steal, kill, and destroy. (John 10:10) With our minds we can see spiritual things but with the heart we can enter into the things of God, for with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness. (Romans 10:10) That is part of the foundation of the spiritual nature of eternal life. We must grow in our hearts to truly know God and the things of God to develop in the spiritual nature of obedience unto God that Jesus taught and demonstrated. Then we bear the good fruit of divine character and protect God’s Garden from every enemy by loving righteousness and hating iniquity in our hearts. Part of developing in spiritual character is guarding and keeping all bad influences that would hinder God’s eternal purpose, out of the Garden of our hearts. In the Garden of Eden, the spiritual foundation of living in God’s presence is set for eternity. That is the picture of Heaven for all those who walk in their God-given eternal destiny. In Heaven, sin isn’t allowed because Heaven is Gods home and the home of the sons of God. So it was a wise move for God to create the human as a son of man in a natural world and then give him the opportunity to believe, obey and become a Son of God. The whole purpose of creation is that God is enlarging His heavenly family. (Ephesians 3:15) We humans will whoop and holler at a football game but everyone in Heaven is celebrating what God is doing His heavenly family. The Bible says the angels rejoice more over one person who becomes a son than 99 persons who have already become sons of God. (Luke 15:10) We see that God came down to fellowship with Adam as a friend in the cool of the day. This is the divine picture of eternal life that is destined for man through his fellowship with God. The Bible says, “God is Love” and love is a choice, so God must provide man with the opportunity to exercise his will by choosing to love God and man by the choice of obedience.

Two Spiritual Trees

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that does the will of God abides forever. (1 John 2:15-17)

Since love is a free choice, God provided the man with Two Spiritual Trees in the midst of the Garden to give him the opportunity to choose his spiritual nature. The midst of the Garden is symbolic of the heart of man where God’s presence can be found. The Two Spiritual Trees are a picture of the two spiritual natures of man that are developed in us through our knowledge. Adam is called the son of God (Luke 3:38) because out of him came the whole human race. However, Adam was a natural being and the next phase of knowledge that God wanted to provide for him, brought spiritual growth in knowledge of eternity. God’s purpose was to raise him up into a spiritual being who would pass on his spiritual nature of eternal life onto the whole human race. We are all the progeny of Adam and the knowledge of the the two spiritual programs of death and life that would be passed down to us was dependent upon Adam’s freedom of choice. The same is true for us all. Love is a choice.

And the LORD God commanded the man saying, Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat: But of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, you shalt not eat of it: for in the day that you eat thereof you shalt surely die. (Genesis 2:16-17)

God commanded Adam to not eat of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil and warned him that when he does, he will surely die. In this passage of scripture the phrase “surely die,” is a continuous noun. It is translated as “surely die,” but the word in the Hebrew language is “mut, mut,” which means, “in dying you shall die. What it means is that there are levels of death, spiritual death, physical death, and eternal death. So we do surely die in our spirits our souls and out bodies when we separate from God. Yet our separation from God was caused by Adam. Now that may seem harsh, but disobedience is not allowed in Heaven. God is teaching Adam and us that obeying the truth is the foundation of eternal life. Jesus was the second man sent from Heaven by virgin birth and in Him is no sin. Jesus never sinned, so death has no place in Him. Jesus always obeyed His father God, so He qualified to be our redeemer and bring us back unto God. So in reality, there are only two types of knowledge available to the human, the knowledge of obedience unto God, which imparts blessing and eternal life, or the knowledge of disobedience unto God, which imparts cursing and death. We will either allow God to be God in our lives and we will live fruitful lives of blessing, or we can choose to be our own gods, which separates us from God and causes us to live under cursing and death. The whole theme of the Bible is “Death and Life,” and just like Adam, we choose which Spiritual Tree we will eat from that will become our eternal destiny. The heart of man is God’s Garden, and these Two Spiritual Trees are in the midst of every human heart, male and female, but the human chooses his spiritual nature and eternal destiny with his heart. This divine picture signifies not only the type of knowledge we receive spiritually but also how we eat of the tree through obedience or disobedience unto God and the type of fruit we bear from either tree. Would Adam obey God and take heed of his warning, or would he disobey God and bring spiritual death into the human race? Notice this passage of scripture says, “In the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” This is part of the secret of the Bible. What do you do today affects you today and forever. Moment by moment we determine our own spiritual destiny. The Garden of Eden is God’s symbolic picture to us of how we have fellowship with Him. The garden is our heart. The soul eats the fruit in the garden of our heart. You get to choose which tree you’re going to eat from. Get alone with God. You may feel naked and ashamed at first but He will cover you with Jesus’ robe of righteousness, washed in His precious blood and bring you into His presence and talk with you. He will remind you of His words in the Bible that reveal truth unto you. (John 14:26) God wants us to spend eternity with Him, but we must first spend time with Him and talk to Him and He will talk with you. He will enlighten the eyes of your understanding and show you great and mighty things that you know not. (Ephesians 1:18, Jeremiah 33:3) The Bible presents the two pictures of God as a Father and a gardener to the human race. God is the Father of spirits and He’s enlarging His heavenly family, but God is also a farmer that is having a great harvest, a skillful gardener who cares for His garden and He will cut off the dead branches so the Tree can bear more fruit. Adam’s choice of obedience or disobedience would determine what kind of fruits God would get in His garden or what kind of harvest God will get in His field called earth. (Matthew 13:38) God is enlarging His heavenly family and every soul is invited to claim their eternal inheritance of Son-ship. (1 Peter 1:4)

A wise man fears and departs from evil, but a fool rages and is self-confident. (Proverbs 14:16)

The midst of the Garden of Eden is God’s meeting place and is symbolic of our hearts where the Spirit of God can dwell. That’s where God’s kind of Love begins with a choice between two spiritual programs that bear the fruits of the spiritual nature of obedience or disobedience. These two spiritual trees manifest the spiritual natures of SIN or SON. Being that the spiritual SIN nature originated with Satan, you could say that S.I.N. stands for Satan INature. I like to call SIN the Self-Program because the nature of SIN generates the lifestyle of man living separate from God in order to be his own goddo his own will, go his own way, and live for self. The self-program stands for “Satan’s Everlasting Love of Folly and it generates the SIN nature of the SELF-program, which separates the human from God. It generates a good and evil behavior of self that does things which God forbids like lying, lusting, hating, killing, living only for self, etc. That is human nature at its best, but disobedience isn’t allowed in Heaven. The self-program was engineered by Satan, and it separates the human from God forever. Living life without God is the lifestyle of spiritual death. (1 John 2:16) Physical death is but the result of spiritual death (separation from god). As the first man, Adam generated the spirit of disobedience into all his offspring including you and me. (Romans 5:12, Ephesians 2:2) Because of Adam we are all born spiritually dead (separated from God) and that is why we physically die. Death was never a part of God’s original plan. Death is an enemy of God and man.

So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. How is it that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from Heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. (1 Corinthians 15:42-49)

The theme of the Bible is death and life through the programs of the two Sons of God, self or Son from Adam, or Christ. Adam chose to obey Satan and disobey God. In doing so He died spiritually unto God and Him we all died spiritually. That is why we all die physically. The spiritual nature of the first man Adam is earthy. We are all born of Him. Jesus is the second man from Heaven. His spiritual nature is heavenly. In Adam’s spiritual nature all die, but in the divine nature of Christ all are made alive. (1 Corinthians 15;22) The Two Spiritual Trees are symbolic of the spiritual natures of two men in whom the whole race can dwell forever and their two spiritual programs of death and life. God is love and we develop the spiritual nature of the love God by obeying Him. (Ephesians 2:2, Colossians 3:6) We separate from God by disobeying Him. We can do things God’s way and live forever, or we can live to be our own gods and go our own way, but we will perish forever. Adam’s job in the Garden of Eden was to dress it and to keep it. That means he was to make the garden as fruitful as possible and protect (keep) the garden from all intruders including serpents who plant deadly evil thoughts. You’ve probably heard the phrase, “sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.” One of God’s first lessons in the Bible is, “thoughts and ways of death will hurt you if you don’t guard your heart, but God’s words will only help you.” We see throughout history that thoughts can hurt our whole world. All thoughts proceed forth from the Two Spiritual Trees. Most call them good and evil and in our current generation, liberal or conservative, etc. God called these two trees, Death, and Life. Just like Adam was charged by God to guard His Garden, even so, we must guard the garden of our hearts from the good and evil self-program that threatens our whole world. God’s Garden of Eden is symbolic of our hearts. We can obey God with all our hearts and live forever or we can go our own way and surely perish. You can walk with God in obedience and live forever or walk without God in disobedience and be lost forever, you choose! The Two Spiritual Trees teach the human how to become a child of God or a child of the devil through the knowledge of God or the knowledge good and evil in the world.

And the serpent said unto the woman, You shall not surely die:  For God does know that in the day you eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and you shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons. (Genesis 3:4-7)

Adam chose to obey Satan instead of God and in doing so death came into his spirit and he began to die. Their eyes were opened, and they immediately knew they were naked (of eternal life). When their eyes were opened, their spirit died unto God, and they were afraid of God. As the result, every soul born of Adam into the human race is now born spiritually dead (separated from God) like them and that is why we physically die. Death and Life through the knowledge of the Two Spiritual Trees is the theme of the Bible. The Law of the Ten Commandments was given later on by Moses to reveal these two spiritual natures of death and life and Jesus is the only human that has ever kept the Ten Commandments. Jesus demonstrated the lifestyle of obedience perfectly. He came from Heaven to earth to tell us the truth, to show us the life and to redeem us from Satan’s powers of death.  Adam and Eve chose to disobey, and their choice was against love for SELF. They committed high treason against God and gave their God-given dominion to Satan, who then became the god of this world. (2 Corinthians 4:4) They rebelled against God and made Satan their spiritual father. In doing so they separated the whole human race from God. (John 8:44) Adam’s choice to separate from God affected us all who are his progeny. We now are all born into the world with a self-program in our hearts. You can see it in the smallest babe. The good news is that God promised to provide them (and us) with a way of escape from Satan’s dominion and be healed of Satan’s powers of death. The first thing God did was to promise us that He will provide a way back home into His presence for eternity. Here is how God responded to Adam and Eve and us.

And He said who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that you should not eat? And the man said, The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me to eat of the tree, and I did eat. And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that you have done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat. (Genesis 2:11-13)

When God asks us a question, it isn’t because He doesn’t know the answer. It’s because He is teaching us something. In everything God does, He teaches something. God never does anything without teaching something. The Bible teaches us that just like there is physical food that nourishes our bodies, even so, there is spiritual food that nourishes our spirits. There are two types of spiritual food, the good and evil Tree of sense knowledge, and the eternal Tree of revelation knowledge. Sense Knowledge is acquired through the five senses of the soul in the natural man while Revelation Knowledge comes from God’s Spirit into the hidden man of the  heart of the spiritual man. (1 Peter 3:4) The Tree of Life will grow us up into the image and likeness of God, but the Tree of death will grow us up as a natural man, training us in the ways of death, which originate with Satan such as, “you can be as gods.” (Proverbs 14:12) That was the great lie Satan told Eve. The obedience of Adam and Eve to Satan was their rebellion against God and as their progeny, we all share in Adam’s spiritually dead nature of SELF. Every soul born of Adam is born into this world as a sinner, separated from God under the curse of death. The Bible says the human race became Satan’s family and was destined to die without God. As the children of disobedience, (Colossians 3:6) We grow up from childhood to be trained by the god of this world to live by Satan’s SELF-program of the ways of death. It seems right, but it just isn’t. (Proverbs 14:12) Death was never a part of God’s original plan. Death is an enemy of God and man. God sent Jesus from Heaven to destroy Satan’s powers of death for us. Now we will focus upon the two types of knowledge.

God’s Promise to Us

And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; it shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel. (Genesis 3:15)

This passage of scripture is God’s first promise and His first sermon to all humanity. Being that God is a Spirit (John 4:24) and being that He loves to reveal Himself to the creature, He is the best teacher, using natural things to show us spiritual things. (1 Corinthians 1:27-29) He will reveal Himself unto you if you seek Him with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:13-15) Here God promises to send His Son from Heaven to become our redeemer and save us from Satan’s powers of death. Those that lived in the Old Testament times were expecting a Messiah to come from heaven and destroy the powers of death for us. This first promise of God was fulfilled when the babe was born by virgin birth. Jesus is the seed of the woman who came from Heaven to provide redemption for us and save the human race from destruction. Through Him eternal life is now available, and God is now adopting us into His heavenly family when we eat of the Tree of Life, which symbolizes the cross. when you know what really happened at the cross, you will no longer be the same person, but you will be born again from above. These are the first truths that build a strong foundation of faith that becomes eternal life in our hearts. You can be your own god, do your own will, go your own way, and live for self or you can live by Jesus and be a Son. Just like He did with Adam, God leaves the choice up to us. God wants us to eat of the Tree of Life by believing in His only Son Jesus that came from Heaven to provide redemption for us and open the gates of Heaven for us again. In Christ we go from the self-program of disobedience to the Son-program of obedience unto God. If we want to be in God’s eternal family, the door is now open, but if we choose to make the same choice that Adam made, God will let us go our own way and be filled with our own devices, but we will surely die. (Proverbs 1:31) The Two Spiritual Trees teach the knowledge of the eternal ,lifestyle of Sonship through obeying God or the lifestyle of SIN through disobeying God. The theme of the Bible is Death and Life. We go into more detail about the fall of man in the Garden of Eden and how that affected the whole human race in our books, “Two Spiritual Trees, Secret of the Hidden Wisdom” and Death and Life, Secret of the Bible.” Now we will focus upon the Two Spiritual Trees to see the types of the knowledge that bears the fruits of death and life in the human spirit.

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: (1 Corinthians 2:7)

God wants to reveal the Hidden Wisdom that is available to every human being whose heart is right with Him. The Bible says that God is not a man that He should lie. God walks through time communicating to us by His Spirit to our spirits through the Bible to help us obtain the knowledge of eternal life through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. In the Bible, The historical events of the Old Testament form seeds of historical divine promises. They become His pictures to us of His promised redemption. God is going to fix the problem that Adam created. God’s explanations in the NT of His demonstrations in the OT produce revelations of truth in our hearts by faith throughout all generations. We do that with our kids. We train them as toddlers with pictures and words and demonstrations so they will receive revelations and grow up into adults. God is the heavenly father, and He does the same process with us in the Bible. God always uses the historical events of the Old Testament as pictures. The Old Testament points believers forward in faith to look at the things to come. In the New Testament points believers backwards in faith to look at the things not seen so we can know that God always keeps His promises. The Old Testament makes promises, and the New Testament reveals how Jesus, the Son of God has fulfilled God’s promises. So the Old Testament and the New Testament are the Two Eyes of Truth. The Old Testament is the New Testament concealed and the New Testament is the Old Testament revealed  through the Two Spiritual Trees in the Bible. When we receive revelations from God we experience joy unspeakable and full of glory. (1 Peter 1:8) We are always rejoicing because we are discovering the hidden treasures of truth. (Philippians 4:4-8) Every generation brings forth their own style of knowledge of living life without God, built upon previous generations. (Mark 7:7-13) When I was young, health and well-being was the knowledge that was being pushed back then. One of the most popular sayings was this, “You are what you eat.” At that time I was young and dumb like most people, but very philosophical, and I used to write songs and poems, In one of my poems I wrote,

“You are what you eat, you are what you drink, you are what you breathe, you are what you think. you eat what you want, you drink what you may, you breathe what you must, but your thoughts you obey.”

This is a spiritual truth! Eating natural food is a natural necessity but eating spiritual food is a spiritual remedy. God’s words are medicine for all your flesh. (Proverbs 4:22) We need spiritual food just as much as we need natural food. Thoughts and words are spiritual things. Just like God created the universe with His words, even so He creates in us a new heart filled with eternal life through His words. Jesus said Heaven and earth shall pass away but His words are Spirit, and they are Truth, and they will never pass away. (Matthew 24:35) The words of God are the fruits of His divine nature that we bear as living trees. Just like natural food feeds our bodies, even so thoughts and words feed our spirits the knowledge of death and life. You must feed your body to live on earth, but you must feed your spirit the knowledge of God to live forever in Heaven. God provides the first man Adam as our example to teach us the differences between the two types of knowledge that flow from the Two Spiritual Trees. (1 Thessalonians 5:23) Even the angels are observing and learning the wisdom of God through His program with the human race. (Ephesians 3:10-12) There is more joy in Heaven when one person is saved as a citizen of Heaven than ninety-nine people that are already saved. (Luke 15:7) In the Garden of Eden, there were all kinds of trees that were good for food, but in the midst of the Garden, there were Two Spiritual Trees and the way that you eat of the knowledge of these two spiritual trees is by believing, obeying, and saying. That is the process. You become what you believe, obey, and say. We will obey and say the thoughts of our flesh, or we will obey and say the thoughts of our spirits. Think about that. Believing, obeying, and saying regenerates the spiritual nature of your heart the same way God spoke the worlds into existence. God is the Father of spirits. (Hebrews 12:9) You are a spirit who has a soul and who lives in a physical body. One day, your body is going to drop away like the outward shell of a seed, but your spirit is going to live on forever. Where you spend eternity depends upon your spiritual nature which was developed in your spirit by your choice of spiritual cuisine from the Two Spiritual Trees. This is the first great lesson of the Bible. If you can learn this lesson properly, you will be able to learn most other great lessons of the Bible. Many are they who have asked the question, “Where do our thoughts come from?” Have you ever asked yourself that question? Where do thoughts actually come from? Most of our thoughts are handed down to us all our lives from other people. Many of us are trained by the world to carry and promote certain thoughts to propagate the world’s agenda and profit ourselves, but the truth is that all thoughts originate from and are generated by these Two Spiritual Trees. The real lesson of the Bible is about two spiritual beings that stand behind these two spiritual trees, which are a loving God and Satan, the wicked one. The Two Spiritual Trees generate the two spiritual natures of death and life in the human. Death is the lifestyle of living outside of God’s presence and Life is the lifestyle of living in God’s presence forever. Jesus demonstrated the spiritual nature of eternal life. He didn’t come from Heaven just to show off. He came to teach us what eternal life is and accomplish redemption to make it possible for us to receive eternal life.

The Harvest of the Two Spiritual Trees

He answered and said unto them, He that sows the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom, but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world, and the reapers are the angels. (Matthew 13:37-39)

In the Bible, we see that thoughts come from one of two spiritual sources of knowledge that originate with either God’s thoughts to empower you, or the devil’s thoughts to distract you, deceive you, guide you into the ways of death and destroy you. God demonstrates thoughts coming from a serpent in the Garden to show us that thoughts from the devil will generate Satan’s spiritual nature of SELF in the human. Of all the beasts of the animal kingdom, the serpent most exemplifies Satan’s spiritual nature of living only for self. This is not so in God’s kingdom. Thoughts from the knowledge of good and evil in the natural world, will build an outward natural man of the Self-program in our hearts. Thoughts from the knowledge of God will build an inward spiritual man of the divine nature of the Son program in our hearts. God’s picture to us of a serpent correctly portrays the nature of SELF without God. Just as natural serpents are deadly, even so spiritual serpents are deadly.

And He said unto them, “Are ye so without understanding also? Do you not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without enters into the man, it cannot defile him; Because it enters not into his heart, but into the belly, and goes out into the draught, purging all meats?” And He said, “That which comes out of the man, that defiles the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.” (Mark 7:18-23)

These are the fruits of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and evil that flow from the evil nature of the self-program of the flesh, which you will learn more about later in this blog. Thoughts come from within the human heart, and they go out to others just like trees bear fruit. Evil thoughts are like flies. They can come out of one person and light upon the next person with ease, and many of them should be shooed away. Lusts and Lies are spiritual flies. At other times thoughts are like unclean birds. In the Bible, birds are symbolic of demonic principalities and powers that are subject to Satan. He is the god of this world, the prince of the power of the air, who cracks that whip and trains the human to live by the standards of this present evil world. (Galatians 1:4, 2 Corinthians 4:4-6) Jesus said that just like the birds of the air swoop down and snatch the seeds from the ground, even so Satan’s demonic powers of the air will swoop down and snatch the seeds of God’s words out of our hearts. The dove that came upon Jesus when He was baptized in the Jordan, is symbolic of God’s Spirit who comes upon and within us when we return to God with all our hearts and cross over the Jordan, dying to SELF. (Ephesians 6:12-13)

And He spoke many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the wayside, and the fowls came and devoured them up: (Matthew 13:3-4)

When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and understands it not, then comes the wicked one, and catches away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the wayside. (Matthew 13:19)

The birds (unseen spirit beings) will fly over your head and drop outward deposits of thought, but you shouldn’t let them build a nest in the hair of your mind. Thoughts from God are planted as inward knowing’s from God’s words deep inside your heart like seeds that are planted deep into the ground. You just know something spiritual that you didn’t know before and your heart bears witness with the word of God that it is truth. God reveals a truth to you by reminding you of His words that will generate thoughts within. God’s words will help you overcome the thoughts of the enemy that flow through the five senses so you can become whole, spirit, soul, and body. All religions and self-help ways of man are built upon self-thoughts of the enemy to snatch away God’s thoughts that are sown into our hearts by His words. Our ignorance isn’t helpful for anyone. The fruits of the two spiritual trees are the inward and outward thoughts that fly like missiles of the holy war within the human heart. The Bible tells us we are in a holy war and the only way to win is to take your thoughts captive.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. (2 Corinthians 10:3-6)

Jesus walked in the Son program fluently. He teaches the spiritual man how to deal with flies, birds, and serpents through obedience unto God. You must learn to perceive from the words of God to grow up spiritually. The Bible says we must judge our thoughts. They have to be pulled down, cast down and brought into the obedience of Christ, spirit, soul, and body until the serpent nature is crushed underfoot. Jesus always obeyed God as our example of sonship. The Bible teaches believers how to judge their own thoughts and bring them into the obedience of Christ. Jesus is our example as He defeated the devil and his powers of death for us. Without exercising that spiritual discipline in our thought life, Satan swallows humans up whole like a serpent. (1 Peter 5:8, Proverbs 1:12)

Another parable He spoke unto them; The kingdom of Heaven is like leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened. (Matthew 13:33)

Trees don’t bear fruit for themselves, but for everyone around. God wants us to be filled up wholly in the knowledge of truth so we can become fruit-bearing trees that bear good fruit unto all. The Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil serve as our two spiritual choices of the inward divine cuisine or the outward poison candy. We don’t just want to live a long life on earth. We want to live forever and this is what God offers us through Christ in us. This natural world is temporary, but God’s spiritual world is eternal. The fruits of both spiritual trees impart a type of knowledge that gives us our spiritual natures and determines our eternal destinies. These two trees grew in the midst of Eden to portray to us that eternity grows in the very center of our hearts, the very core of our beings. The Tree of Life is listed first to suggest that this is the tree that God wants us to eat from because it imparts knowledge that is eternal. God commanded the first man not to eat of the Tree of Knowledge because the knowledge of good and evil only bears fruit that is limited by the faculties of his soul and not his heart. The outward man of the mind is not the same as the inward man of the heart where God dwells. The tree of knowledge teaches the human of the temporary rewards of being his own god, but it ends in destruction and death. By living without God and eating of the Tree of Knowledge, Adam would bring the lifestyle of death to the whole human race within his loins. The Tree of Life bears the fruit of eternal life in the spirit of man that becomes inward spiritual food for the heart and soul of the man. The Tree of Knowledge bears the fruit of natural life without God in the soul of man but leaves the heart of man dark, the spirit of a man dead, and the soul of a man ignorant of the knowledge of God.

The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil

These two trees are in the midst of the garden for a reason. First, they are very real trees, and they still exist today. Secondly, they are two spiritual trees upon which the human can spiritually feed upon. Thirdly they show us the fruits of Life and Death. They birth billions of little trees called humans throughout the whole world. Unto God who is the Father of spirits, human spirits are trees and they either bear good or evil fruit unto God in His garden. (Matthew 7:17) God is a Spiritual Father, but He is also a spiritual farmer. Adam freely chose to eat of the forbidden Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. In Adam, we all ate of the tree of death in disobedience and rebellion against the will of God. In so doing we all acquired Satan’s spirit of disobedience. As a result, we are all born into this world as sinners because we’re all the children of Adam and we all have the same spirit of disobedience as our father Adam. That isn’t a pleasant thought, but it is a Bible thought and God wants to show us that as spiritual trees we were all grafted into the wrong spiritual source of life. (Ephesians 2:2) But through Jesus, God has made it possible for us to get grafted back into the Tree of Life and live forever. The true lesson in the Garden of Eden is that obedience to God is the Spirit of life and disobedience to God is the spirit of death. This revelation spoils the “be your own god” self-help religion, but it brings us back down to earth and makes us right with God so we can walk with Him by faith as His very own children through Christ in us.

There is a way that seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. (Proverbs 16:25)

What we don’t realize is that the human is a spirit being covered in flesh, created in the image and likeness of God who is the Father of spirits and just like we eat to live in the natural realm, even so, we eat spiritual food to live in the spiritual realm with His divine character. The man was given permission by God to eat of the spiritual tree that imparts the nature of eternal life to man, but man was forbidden to eat of the tree that imparts the nature of death to man. Herein with these two trees, we see the nature of death and life presented to us as a living choice. The choice that God gave our first parents, Adam, and Eve, were designed to bring them into the likeness of God by their own free will. This is part of God’s spiritual nature, to choose life and to reject death. Adam and Eve were given the choice to obey or disobey God and this spiritual decision is symbolic of the choice we all must make. We will obey God and feed on His Tree of Life, or we will disobey God and feed on the Tree of death. The Tree of death is represents the decision Satan made, to disobey God, which changed his character and made him unfit for Heaven so even though he was an arc-angel, one of the highest angels in Heaven, he chose to rebel against God and was cast out. Adam was our representative and faced the same decision. Satan introduced the idea of rebellion to the first man Adam, and he made the wrong decision for us all. Adam obeyed Satan and rebelled against God, and he died spiritually unto God. He imbibed the spiritual nature of disobedience from the spirit of Satan and in doing so, he gave Satan his God-given domino. Satan became the god of this world, and all men (male and female) are now born with his spiritual nature of SELF. In Adam, we all sinned and in Adam’s loins, we all became sinners under the judgment of God. In Adam, all die. (1 Corinthians 15:45)

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that you cannot do the things that you would. But if you be led of the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envying’s, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. (Galatians 5:16-26)

The Tree of Knowledge is symbolic of Satan’s spiritual nature that was passed down from Adam to all mankind. This tree is full of good and evil lies and its fruit are the ways of death and the snares of death. (Proverbs 14:12, 27) SELF is the facemask of Satan. (1 John 3:10) Jesus didn’t have a Self. Jesus never once operated in the Self-program. Jesus only lived to please His heavenly Father. Jesus only talked about His Heavenly Father, His relationship with the heavenly father, and why He came from heaven to earth to do His father’s will. Jesus only obeyed God showing us the fruit of His divine nature of Love. Jesus said, ”The Son does nothing of Self, but He only does what He sees His Father do. (John 5:16)Jesus said, “I and my Father are one.” (John 10:30-36) The life of Jesus was God’s demonstration to us of what eternal life really is. It is a Father and Son walk in paradise forever. Jesus went about Doing good and Healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with Him. (Acts 10:38) Understanding this humbles the ego that self has built up, makes us right with God, and puts us in a position to become one of His Sons, which was God’s purpose for creation anyway. (Ephesians 3:15) Jesus taught us that God is a Father and He is enlarging His heavenly family. The fruit of the Tree of Knowledge is Satan’s over-rated SELF program. Through the Tree of Knowledge, Satan trains the human to be his own god, do his own will, go his own way, and live for self. The Bible calls it the way of Cain. We are all born into this world with the SELF program because we are all born of Adam, the natural man. Every human except one (born of the virgin) is born of Adam and inherits his spiritual nature of living for SELF that Adam acquired in his rebellion against God and obedience unto Satan. (Ephesians 2:2-4) Every human being in the world today is born of the flesh as a child of Adam with his spiritual nature of living without God for SELF. (Genesis 3:5)

Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. Why don’t you understand my speech? It’s because you are not able to listen to My word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.  But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God.” (John 8:42-47)

The Tree of Knowledge is filled with good and evil lies that will nurture the human in his spiritual growth of living for SELF and being his own god. Satan’s quest to be the god of this world fills all humanity with his lusts and desires to build a whole new world order without God. In this respect, even the good things that God created are evil without God. When Adam disobeyed God, the world came under the curse, death came into the human race and we all came under the divine judgment of God, for all have sinned. (Romans 3:23, Romans 5:19-21) The earth began as God’s garden and through the powers of sin and death by Satan, it has become a spiritual junkyard ready to be burned up in the fire. (Matthew 7:17) God has provided a way of escape from the judgment that is coming upon the world and upon Satan’s spiritual family. God has spoken unto us in these last days through His only Son and through Him God has provided redemption from sin, death, destruction, and the day of judgment to come. (Hebrews 1:2) God loves every human and He has demonstrated His love by sending His only Son who only does the Father’s will. Jesus gave His life a ransom for us that we might return unto God and enter into the heavenly family as though we have never sinned through the righteous standing of the one who died for us. Jesus walked with God and lived a perfect life fulfilling the Law of God for us. Jesus historically died upon the cross to bear away the curse of death from us and be punished with our punishment. Jesus historically rose again from the dead as a sign to all men that His substitution in our place has satisfied God’s justice and has triggered God’s mercy unto us. (Acts 5:30, Galatians 3:13) Through the Spirit of Christ in us, we can be born again and come into God’s heavenly family. (John 3:3-6)

And the times of this ignorance God winked at, but now He commands all men everywhere to repent because He has appointed a day in which He shall judge the world in righteousness by that Man whom He has ordained whereof He has given assurance unto all men. (Acts 17:31)

Even though Jesus has paid the price to remove God’s wrath from us and purchased God’s mercy and grace for us, there is still this one thing that is left undone. A gift isn’t activated until it is received. We still have to receive God’s gift and return to Him, or all will be lost. God loves His kids, and He has provided for us a way back home, but we must choose to return unto God and His way of life. God’s world is a million times better than this world and His world is eternal. Yet, Heaven is not the place for sinners, liars, fornicators, adulterers, thieves, robbers, haters, gossipers, and evildoers. (Revelation 21:8) Our life is but a vapor that appears for a short time and then vanishes away. (James 4:14) We are not promised tomorrow, and we are not promised Heaven without Jesus. Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery and today is the gift of God, that is why we call it the present. God is more real than we are. God isn’t deceived about anything. God knows everything and He wants to show you everything. (1 Corinthians 6:9-11)

Don’t be deceived! God is not mocked. Whatsoever a man sows that shall he also reap. (Galatians 6:7-9)

Just like we sow seeds in our gardens, even so we sow to the spiritual natures of the flesh or the Spirit. Yet humans are born deceived. Humans think, “we are alive and are going to die.” God says we are dead while we live, and we are going to die. (1 Timothy 5:6, Proverbs 8:36) If we are spiritually dead when we physically die we will remain eternally dead. God doesn’t want that and neither do we. God has provided the way that makes us alive unto Him and gives us eternal life. God is a historical God and has historically documented His supernatural surgery upon the human race in Christ at the cross. He has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in Christ Jesus through the redemption that is in Him. (Ephesians 1:3) Yet we think it is safe to be our own gods and live for self. Nothing could be further from the truth. God wrote His Bible to tell us the truth and He orchestrated historical events under the Old Covenant to show us the truth and then He sent His only Son from Heaven to teach us the truth. Jesus historically died on the cross, was buried, and rose again to make it possible for us to enter into the truth of eternity. Now, God raises up preachers and teachers to remind us of the truth so we can receive His Spirit into our hearts to live and not die. The Old Testament contains God’s demonstrations, and the New Testament explains God’s revelations. The Old Testament is the New Testament concealed and the New Testament is the Old Testament revealed. The Old Covenant is God’s pictures pointing us forward in faith to Christ and the New Covenant is God’s doctrines pointing us back in faith to Christ who fulfilled every promise, every prophecy, and accomplished redemption for us. The Bible has never been dis-proven. In fact, every science known to man has proven the Bible to be true. Even history itself has proven the Bible to be true. Yes, the Bible is the written document of truth, which will be your final destination in this short journey on planet earth we call life. God has written His Bible so that by all means He might save some of us. (Hebrews 1:2)

Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come. (1 Corinthians 10:11)

God wrote about historical events in His Bible to show us examples for our admonition.  Wow! Just like God warned Adam, even so we learn the truth in the Bible with God’s emphasis of warning. God talked to Adam like that in the Garden. He said, “Adam, don’t eat of that Tree of Knowledge. It will kill you. The day you eat of it you will die.” God spoke the truth with a warning. We do that with our kids. We tell them “do not cross the street without looking both ways,” or we say, “don’t mess with the snake because it will bite you.” Yet Adam listened to Satan, the father of lies, and disobeyed God, bringing death into the world for us all. (John 8:44) Adam did not act like a father to us. He is a good example for us all. Yet why did God allow a tree that kills in His Garden of Eden? God had to because God is the teacher of Truth. He had to tell us that there are enemies in the universe that want to destroy the creation and that his spiritual enemies bring knowledge of good and evil that will destroy your soul. God is the Father of spirits and He had to tell us what death is and what life is and give us the opportunity to choose life over death. Every creature in the universe that has free will has to make the same decision. That brings me to the purpose of writing this blog.

A prudent [man] foresees the evil, and hides himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished. (Proverbs 22:3)

Good people are destroyed every day because they lack knowledge. I’m talking about the knowledge of the Spirit of Wisdom that comes from God. That is what the Tree of Life represents. These are the two sources of knowledge in the universe. We can eat of the Tree of Life and receive the Spirit of Wisdom in the knowledge of God that will manifest the Son program of eternal life in us. We can also eat of the Tree of Knowledge and receive the good and evil lies of Satan’s be your own god SELF-program, which will manifest death in the human and separation from God forever.

A good tree bears good fruit, but the evil tree bears evil fruit. A good tree cannot bear evil fruit and an evil tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that brings forth good fruit will be put into God’s barn but every tree that doesn’t bring forth good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire. (Matthew 7:17)

These are the words of Jesus. We see the same emphasis of warning with Jesus that we saw with God in the Garden of Eden. Warning! Warning! Danger approaching! Can you hear the alarms? I am going to demonstrate from the scriptures how God warns us through historical events that become examples for us. God begins by using pictures to show us the nature of things and then He shows us by examples, beginning with two spiritual trees to show us the end results of things.

The Fruits of the Knowledge of Good and Evil

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that you cannot do the things that you would. But if you be led of the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envying’s, murders, drunkenness, revelings and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:16-25)

In this passage of scripture, we see the two types of knowledge that bears the two spiritual natures of the flesh and the Spirit in the human. Because of Adam, we are all born into this world with the spiritual nature of the flesh, and we bear the fruits of the character of the lusts of the flesh. I like to call it the SIN nature of the self-program. The spiritual nature of the Tree of Knowledge has been passed down to all Adam’s offspring including you and me. The end result of eating from the Tree of Knowledge in the human has also been passed down to us as the offspring of Adam. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through the second man from Heaven, Jesus Christ our Lord. They that are of the Spirit bear the fruits of the Spirit and they that live by the self-program of sin, bear the fruits of the flesh. The Tree of Knowledge bears the fruit of death, and the Tree of Life bears the fruit of eternal life in the human. The word S.I.N. stands for Satan INature and Satan’s self-program of SIN generates the nature of the lusts of the flesh, the lusts of the eyes and the pride of life as we obey the lies of the devil. (John 8:44) The SON-program is the lifestyle of obeying God as he grows in the divine nature of the SON. This lifestyle of sonship bears the fruits of the Spirit through obedience in his fellowship with God. Jesus, the second man from Heaven, demonstrated the Son-program perfectly because the Law of God was in His heart. The foundation lessons of the Bible are found here in the Garden of Eden in the presence of God. The foundation of truth must be a strong root for every human tree if he is going to bear good fruit unto God and withstand the storms of life that will come from the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy. (Matthew 7:13-29) We see that Adam had natural knowledge because he named all the animals in the presence of God. Yet Adam had no knowledge of spirituality of the eternal things of the Spirit realm through obedience or disobedience unto God. He was innocent before God and in position to receive God’s divine nature. All he had to do was obey God’s one command to not eat of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased. If you be wise, you shall be wise for yourself: but if you scorn, you alone shalt bear it. (Proverbs 9:10-12)

God still warns us to not eat of the Tree of Knowledge, which teaches the human, “you don’t need god, you can be your own god, you can do your own will, you can live for SELF and be the best you that you can be. Satan told Adam and Eve they could be as gods through eating of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. (Genesis 3:5) The truth is knowing good and evil doesn’t make us as gods. The Self-Program brings the human to the place of destruction. Satan lied! The truth is they were already as gods so to speak because God had given them the dominion over all of planet earth and they were in full control. By yielding to Satan, they handed over their God-given dominion unto Him and made him the god of this world. (Luke 4:6) They believed Satan’s lie, obeyed Satan and now the knowledge we all live by as their offspring, if filled with Satan’s lies. (John 8:44) Here are some examples of some of the thoughts of the Self-Program that flow from the Tree of Knowledge. Many self-motivation coaches and teachers use these philosophies and self-help attitudes to help humans accomplish (so-called) unlimited possibilities that are measured by health, wealth, and well-being. The focus of the good side of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil is “you can be as gods.” With this foundation in the heart, the self-program teaches, you can build an image of yourself the way you want to be. They give you sayings the call secrets such as follows,

You can do anything and reach the goals you set for yourself.
Write down on a card what you want.
Set goals with positive thinking.
Think of how you can, not why you can’t.
Develop the faculties of your mind,
Learn of the power of the subconscious mind
Follow success principle

The way you think, and feel will determine the way you act.
Get to know yourself because the answer is in your mind
Deal with the law of opposites and train your mind to look for the positives.
Have a winning attitude and set a goal
Discover the self
-image concept.
We can all improve ourselves
Visualize with your mind and see yourself the way you want to be.
Go to the experts and learn from all the great teachers who say we become what we think about. We must control our thoughts and feelings to control our actions and don’t get emotionally involved with a negative IDEA.

These philosophical thoughts sound good don’t they? They are for this world, but they are absolutely unprofitable in the next world. Lies are good and evil in this world and they do not prepare you at all for the next world. All these statements are true motivation buttons for the mind of those that are spiritually dead, but they aren’t statements of truth in the words of God that your spirit can feed upon. They don’t stop lust, greed, lies, hate, hypocrisy, selfishness, etc. They don’t limit evil, which is the fruit of selfishness. This knowledge seems right but just isn’t. The rewards of Self profit nothing in the day of death and that spiritual nature cannot enter into Heaven. (Proverbs 10:2, 11:4) The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil teaches the difference between good and evil, but not the divine nature of eternal life. We can all see that the Knowledge of Good and Evil has filled the earth and even now it releases threats of the destruction of the world. Would you like to set goals for the rest of your life, or would you like to receive blessings from the God of Heaven?

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. (Colossians 2:8)

Philosophy will train you how to be a better you. Religion teaches what you must do for God, but the Bible teaches what God has done for you. There is a way that seems right, but the end thereof are the ways of death. (Proverbs 14:12) The Tree of Knowledge teaches the Self-program and those that are in the Self-program are a treasure only unto themselves. The knowledge of good without God is evil and leads to death. Sense knowledge sounds spiritual, but it is of the self-nature of the flesh. Revelation knowledge from the Tree of Life teaches Truth For Eternity and God imparts His eternal perspective unto us. We think the world is full of different perspectives, but the truth is, the world is filled with the perspective of the natural man and the human needs to receive the perspective of the spiritual man to live forever. What good is it if you gain the whole world and lose your soul? (Mark 8:36-37)

There is a way that seems right unto man, but the end thereof, are the ways of death! (Proverbs 16:25)

The Self-help phrases tell a human what to do with his thoughts, feelings, emotions, etc. but they cater to the spiritual nature that wants to live life without God in order to be his own god and live for self. These are the ways of death that are programmed into the human to be able to live life without God just like Satan promised Adam and Eve in God’s garden. Satan told them, “You don’t need God. You can be your own gods knowing good and evil.” (Genesis 3:5) In the Philosophies of men, you see the word SELF is mentioned a lot, but God isn’t mentioned once. There are thousands of self-help books and courses available to help you become a better you, but in the day of death, all will be lost! Self-help philosophies don’t know the first thing about the human spirit. Where do thoughts come from? The Bible tells us where thoughts come from. Philosophy and religion put on a good show but as the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge, they only lead humans to death. You can build great riches while you listen to the music of the devil, only to find your permanent address on a marker in the cemetery. God has much greater things in store for us than what the SELF-program offers us.

The Tree of Life

For what man knows the things of a man, except the spirit of man, which is in him? Even so, the things of God no man knows, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit, which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Ghost teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ. (1 Corinthians 2:11-16)

The Bible warns us about the type of food we eat spiritually. The Two Spiritual Trees represent two spiritual natures that belong to two spiritual families that are made up of two types of men, the natural man, and the spiritual man. The Bible also reveals the enmity between them both, which is the source of all kinds of contention and strife between the cultures that flow out as the behaviors of the two spiritual natures. Our knowledge revolves around the SELF or around God. The natural man refuses the knowledge of God and lays hold of the multitude of the SELF-helps of sense knowledge while the spiritual man lays hold of the revelations that God imparts to us by His Spirit. The spirit of the world trains the human to be his own god, do his own will, go his own way, and live for SELF as he grows in his knowledge of the ways of death. The spiritual man judges the difference between what is natural and what is spiritual to grow in the mind of Christ, which bears fruit unto God forever. There are multitudes of books written to train the human in the ways of death, but God has historically written His Bible, which documents the spiritual history of man from the beginning to the end. In the Bible, God divides mankind into two families, the family of Satan and the family of God. He also helps us understand which camp we are really in by our outward behavior.

Don’t you know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Don’t be deceived! Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, (1 Corinthians 6:9)

God Himself, who breathed into him the breath of life, formed the first Son of God, Adam out of the ground and he became a living soul. All men are the progeny of Adam and inherit his spiritual nature of living after the flesh in the spirit of disobedience, and in Adam, we will not be going to heaven. But Jesus was born of the virgin called Mary by the Spirit of God and as the second man from Heaven, He is the spiritual Son of God. (1 Corinthians 15:47) In Him, we become born of His Spirit, inherit His spiritual nature, and are born into His spiritual family. The result is we become a new creature in Christ, our behavior changes, and God by His spirit continues working within our hearts all our lives to prepare us for heaven. Every soul that is born of the flesh can now be born of the Spirit through believing in Jesus. (John 3:15-16)Through His death upon the cross, Jesus has ransomed us from Satan the Pharaoh, and his spiritual family, so that we may have the right to be in God’s family. The heavenly inheritance belongs to every believer by blood covenant established in the blood of Jesus. (1 Peter 1:4) There will always be contention between the two spiritual natures and families of man just like there is contention between the spiritual powers of death and life. (Genesis 3:15) Now the fruit that we bear from the two spiritual trees is the behaviors of man. They are listed as follows.

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirits, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory, which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waits for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now. And not only they but ourselves also, which have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to know, the redemption of our body. For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man sees, why does he yet hope for it? But if we hope for that which we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Likewise, the Spirit also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And He that searches the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. (Romans 8:15-27)

If you are a believer in Christ, then you have received the Spirit of Christ and God has adopted you into His heavenly family. If you are an unbeliever then you are still in your natural state of bondage to the spirit of fear, living by the ways of death and headed for destruction, but Jesus has loved you with an everlasting love and He paid the price at the cross to redeem you from your spiritually dead condition. You can tell by the food you eat. Do you eat the dead food of Satan’s self-program of the ways of death, or do you eat the living food of the Son-program of Christ in you? (John 6:56) Sinners feed upon the lies of this world, but Saints feed upon the breakfast of champions, which is Christ in us. You are what you eat. How about you? What do you like to eat? What kind of fruit are you bearing? What will be your eternal destiny? There is a famous song that once said, “There are two roads you can go by, but in the long run there is still time to change the road you’re on.” The Bible disagrees. The Bible says, “Time Is Short, Today is the day of Salvation and Repent because the Kingdom of Heaven is now available. There is a saying which goes like this, Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is a a mystery, and Today is the gift of God, that’s why we call it the present.

The Fruits of the Tree of Eternal Life

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envying’s, murders, drunkenness, revellings and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:16-26)

Again, notice that the behaviors of the natural man are called the works of the flesh and they bear the fruits of death, while the behaviors of the spiritual man bears the fruits of the Spirit and end in eternal life. What kind of fruit are you bearing right now? Are you ready for eternity? Death and Life are the fruits of the knowledge we eat, whether it is natural or spiritual. As with Adam and Eve, God gives every human the freedom to eat his own food and determine what his eternal destiny will be. Notice again God’s warning for those that live after the flesh and refuse to live after God’s Spirit that leads us into the way of eternity. All the money and joys of this world cannot compare to the glory that shall be revealed unto us by the Spirit of God and enjoyed forever. (Psalm 118:29)

What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul and what can a man give in exchange for his soul? (Matthew 16:26)

All the knowledge in the world profits the human nothing in the day of death if he loses his soul. The Bible wants to train you how to live and not die and while you are on planet earth, walk in the blessing of God‘s presence with joy unspeakable full of glory. (1 Peter 1:7-9) The only thing the human can give in exchange for his soul is his time on planet earth investing his heart into God and His eternal kingdom. That is a wise investment. The concepts of the Spirit of God grow like a tree bearing much fruit unto all. (Ephesians 5:22-25) They flow like a great fountain of living waters to many. (John 7:38) Truth flows from the heart through the mind imparting the eternal perspective to the human with spiritual thoughts. Here are a few examples of the supernatural wisdom that flows from the words of God.

As a man thinks in his heartso is he. (Proverbs 23:7)

In this passage of scripture, we can see clues of the eternal perspective. This scripture says the human is whatever his heart is thinking. Did you know your heart thinks just like your mind thinks? God says the man IS whatever his heart is thinking. Isn’t that what it says here? Yes, that is what God is saying. It’s a deep thought for the new believer, but it is only natural for the spiritual man. It is also a clue that God wants us to Trust in the LORD with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding (mind). (Proverbs 3:5) Now let’s go a little deeper in the next passage of scripture.

Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, has eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, dwells in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eats me, even he shall live by me. This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna and are dead: he that eats of this bread shall live forever. (John 6:53-58)

Remember, Jesus only spoke the words of God. Jesus never spoke His words without God telling Him what to say. Jesus never did one thing with God’s permission. Jesus never went anywhere without God’s direction. The Father and the Son walked and talked in the secret language that spiritual people understand. Here in this passage of scripture, Jesus gives us the secret of eternal life. We must eat spiritual food through Christ in us. Jesus said, “You eat my flesh, and you drink my blood as you live by me.” Eating His flesh is living by His thoughts, His attitudes, and His ways as you do His deeds. We drink His blood as we confess our sins unto God and turn from our wicked ways and God cleanses us from all sin with the precious blood of Jesus. As Jesus lived by the Father, even so we live forever as we live by Him, not for Him, but by Him. Christ in you is hour hope of glory. (Colossian 1:27)

When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understands it not, then cometh the evil one and snatches away that which hath been sown in his heart. (Matthew 13:9)

If you can’t understand, it is because you are still blinded by the self-program, deaf to the voice of God, and lame, walking in the ways of death as a spiritual leper. (Proverbs 14:12) It’s also because you are listening to the voice of the stranger in your mind rather than the voice of God that comes through His words. They crucified the most wonderful person in history because they didn’t understand Him. Yet they saw the supernatural power of miracles happen when He spoke. This passage is a good example of the supernatural nature of God’s words. At first glance, words like “eat my flesh and drink my blood,” don’t make sense, but these are the words of God through Jesus Christ, so what is He really saying? It’s important that we see how God communicates to us from the eternal perspective through the scriptures. Jesus said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4) Jesus is the Tree of Life right there in front of them bearing the fruit of the words of God. Get this knowledge and you will live forever. Every word of God imparts supernatural spiritual power into your heart, not just your mind. Now, look at what Jesus is saying! “Eat my flesh and drink my blood?” Really? That sounds weird to the natural man, but it is perfectly normal for the spiritual man, that understands with the heart. When Jesus says, “Eat my flesh,” He means “You walk in His ways of thinking and live by His divine nature of love.” He said that as you eat my way of thinking and living, His blood gives you His life and you live by Him. Jesus is the walking, talking Tree of Life speaking the words of life. We live by Him. If we don’t live by Him we die. His flesh is meat indeed and His blood is drink indeed and His flesh and blood will conquer our three levels of death, spirit, soul, and body. The knowledge of the Tree of Life flows through the words of the Son of God and are spoken by the eternal breath of God. He also said “if you want to live by me you must also drink my blood. That sounds strange, doesn’t it? It is natural for the person who has eternal life abiding in his heart. We must eat His flesh and drink His blood, or we have no life in us. When we eat His flesh we living by Jesus, thinking His thoughts, walking in His ways, and living by His love. When we drink His blood, we are being cleansed of our sins and dying to the spiritual nature of Adam. We are growing up into Him over time and being filled with His character. Multitudes of people will emulate their heroes and put on a false self to reap natural rewards, but few will be spiritual by putting on Christ and learning to live by Him. Jesus said his flesh is meat indeed and His blood is drink indeed. Do you want the interpretation? Of course, you do! Jesus lived by the Spirit of God. When we come to Jesus with all our hearts, He gives us His Spirit, and our spiritual nature changes. His Spirit merges with our spirits and we become alive unto God, whereas before we lived without the presence of God. When we come to Jesus with all our hearts, His quickening Spirit merges with our spirits, and we become alive unto God. Eating His flesh is the practice of living by the ways of the Son of God. We don’t just change some of our attitudes, but we are putting on Christ and living by His Spirit. We are walking in Christ and Christ is walking in us so that we can grow up into Him. This changes our spiritual nature. His words carry the breath of God and His ways are alive with the Spirit of God in us, and they make us alive spiritually. He is our life. (Colossians 3:4) We are either living by Adam the way we were born of the flesh, or we are living by Jesus the way we were born again in Him of His Spirit. God gives us a new spirit through BELIEVING in Jesus, His Son. (Ezekiel 11:19, Hebrews 10:16) Remember, we are what we eat. When we eat something, it becomes us, and we become it. When we drink something it flows to every molecule of our body. The same is true with our spirits. When we feed upon Christ in us, He becomes us and we become Him, in our spirits. It is no longer I that live but Christ that lives in Me as I believe in Him. On the cross Jesus became our substitute in death so that He might become our substitute in life as we live by Him. (Galatians 2:20) Jesus lived by the Father and we live by Him. This is the Secret of Redemption. If we die without Christ in us we will be dead forever. We think His thoughts that He gives us to think. We speak His words, and we walk in His ways and Christ lives in us by His Spirit. That is eating Jesus. As we do that, His blood cleanses us from the sin nature we were originally born with. We begin to think like Him, talk like Him and walk like Him. As we live by Him, His blood cleanses us from the Self-program of sin. (John 6:53-58) When we choose to stop lying and lusting and living by the Self-program of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and evil, we are learning to live by Jesus and our spiritual nature grows. We become a living tree bearing good fruit unto everyone around. When we eat His flesh and drink His blood, we LIVE By Him and His Spirit flows through us. Jesus summed it up by saying you will, “dwell in me and I in you.” This is just a small drop of revelation from the knowledge of the Tree of life. Jesus said, “I live by the Father: so he that eats me, even he shall live by me.” If you can understand this, you have come a long way spiritually. You can’t really understand this unless you are truly born again of the Spirit of Christ. (2 Corinthians 3:3) This isn’t watching a Catholic mass or doing good works of religion. This is abiding in the Tree of Life and living by Jesus, who is our life. As we walk by faith, Jesus supplies us with His Spirit to live by. He was our substitute in death and He now becomes my substitute in life. (Colossians 3:4, Philippians 1:19) Look up these two passages of scripture now!

Bodily exercise profits little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. (1 Timothy 4:8)

This scripture says that physical exercise profits a little for the body, but godliness profits in our life here on earth and in the life to come. Many are they that will get a body coach or a world-class thinking coach. I used to have hundreds of books in my library. Yet few will work out with God to learn the spiritual concepts of the eternal perspective, which are supernatural. The Bible is designed to not only change your l heart, but to give you the life that is eternal. The things, which are not seen, are more real than the things that are seen.

18 While we look not at the things, which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things, which are seen are temporal; but the things, which are not seen are eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:18) Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things that are seen, were not made of things that do appear. (Hebrews 11:3)

This scripture says, “We look NOT at the things which are seen, but we look at the things which are not seen.” This happens through seeing His words. The words of Jesus reveal things not seen. We feed upon the Tree of Life to live forever as we live by Jesus. We walk in His ways, think His thoughts, speak His words, do what He shows us to do. This is living by Jesus and when we sin, and we will, as we confess our sins, His blood cleanses us from all sin. (1 John 1:9)

Here are some more thoughts that flow from the Tree of Life.

I am the way, the truth, and the life and no man comes to the father but by me
I can do all things through Christ, which strengthens me.
Abide in me and you shall bear much fruit for without Me you can do nothing.
Come unto me all of you that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.
He that sees the Son and believes in Him has eternal life.
Listen unto me my son and I will show you the way of life eternal.
He that listens unto me is like a man that builds his house upon a rock.
There is therefore now no more condemnation to them that walk in the Spirit and not after the flesh.
Lay hold of eternal life whereunto you are called.
My words are life to those that find them and medicine to all their flesh.
Straight is the gate and narrow is the way that leads unto life and few there be that find it. Enter in by the strait gate!

He that eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me and I in Him

The Tree of Life constantly imparts the revelations of the eternal perspective to us. Living for SELF is overrated and the SELF program rewards the human for a few minutes of satisfaction on earth, but walking in the eternal perspective brings you up into the heavenlies where truth is clearly seen. Time is limited for the natural man, but eternity offers unlimited treasures for the spiritual man. True spirituality is natural for the spiritual man. There is nothing phony or selfish about it. The spiritual man is not only blessed himself, but he is a blessing to others. A self-man is no good for anyone but himself. If the natural man can even hold his family together for a few decades, he is doing good. The Tree of Knowledge benefits the SELF and wishes lots of luck, but the Tree of Life benefits the whole world with unlimited blessings by the power of God.

The Heavenly Father and His Sons

We must realize that not everything is wonderful and not everything is as it seems. We must realize the devil has a plan for us all just like the Pharaoh was the head over the people of Israel, to help build his new world order without God. And at the same time, God has a plan for us all to come to Heaven because He loves us. God sent Jesus to become the last Adam for us so that in Him, we can become spiritual and be made fit for Heaven. God created the universe to serve as a foundation for planet earth and then God created the earth as His Garden to give man a place to live so He could grow His spiritual garden of humans. Then finally God created man in order to harvest more Sons and enlarge His heavenly family. God wants us all to come to Heaven. God is enlarging His heavenly family with more Sons, but not everyone will choose to go to Heaven. God has provided Jesus Christ as our demonstration of what a Son of God looks like. Jesus is the demonstration model of what God had originally planned for us to become as the heirs of His kingdom. Yet every evil tree that bears evil fruit will be burned up in the fire and every good tree that bears fruit unto God will be saved and brought into God’s barn of Heaven. (Matthew 7:17) We have the same decision to make that Adam had to make. We can see from history that Adam made the wrong choice. The enmity is alive and well today on planet earth. History teaches us that man without God will come to destruction, but those who walk with God like faithful Abraham will be blessed with faithful Abraham.

The Warning of the Two Trees

But now Christ is risen from the dead and has become the first-fruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. (1 Corinthians 15:22)

Hear what the voice of God’s Spirit says to us in the Bible. Receive the words of God to see the truth and be saved before it is too late. Receive God’s promise with His warning in the Garden of Eden. God is warning us all through the Bible. God will call the richest man on earth a fool if he refuses the wisdom of God. The good news of the Bible is that God sent His own Son from Heaven to earth to become the Tree of Life for us. Upon the dead tree of the cross, Jesus paid the price and bore the eternal punishment that belongs to every soul born of Adam. Jesus was the second man from Heaven born of the virgin with the divine nature. As our substitute upon the cross, He became the last Adam for us and took the punishment that the first Adam brought to all his children including you and me. Now by faith we can receive God’s gift of redemption that brings us eternal life through Jesus Christ. We can now jump out of the first Adam into the last Adam, and we will be born again of His divine nature and become the children of God.

And He said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consists not in the abundance of the things, which he possesses. (Luke 12:15)

In this world, the man with the most toys wins. Our possessions on earth profit us nothing in Heaven. Some people will turn their noses up against God after reading that scripture because they think they will have to give up their wealth to be spiritual. They have no they need to give up their uncontrolled love of money to be spiritual. It isn’t the money and the things that keeps us out of Heaven, but the love of money and the love of things that makes us want to live for these things. God doesn’t mind that we have things. He just doesn’t want things to have us. Many will choose to be the best me they can be and think their ability to get money is a sign of great wisdom. Yet, God calls it foolishness to give up what you cannot lose to gain what you cannot keep. God tells us to repent of our lifestyle of walking in the ways of death because the Kingdom of Heaven is now available. (Matthew 3:2, Luke 17:20-21) Repentance is the humbling of self to walk with God forever. Repentance prepares the soul for God‘s remission of sins and baptism is an example of a new life that has become pleasing in God’s sight.

Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless, the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard. (Ecclesiastes 9:16)

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. (1 Timothy 6:10)

The Bible doesn’t say, “money is the root of all evil, but the love of money is.” There are those that have much wealth and use it wisely. Much good can be accomplished in the world from those that are healthy, wealthy, and wise. In some cases, having a lot of money is a sign of great evil and can be a sign of greed. In this world money is the focus of multitudes. In some cases, money empowers others to accomplish great evils. Many are they that will fall for uncertain riches. The Bible warns us not to trust in uncertain riches for they surely grow wings and fly away. (1 Timothy 6:17) The wisdom of Christ benefits every soul that has ever been born. We eat of the Tree of Life, as we believe the words of God. As we choose to obey Him as our Heavenly Father, we come out of the SELF-program of the spirit of disobedience, and we are born of the Spirit of God to come into the Son program.

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in youexcept ye be reprobates? (2 Corinthians 13:5)

What a strong statement. Is Jesus Christ in you? I didn’t ask you if you are a perfect man. You will never be perfect as long as you live in this world, but you can live by Jesus. You can walk in His divine nature. (John 6:35-58) Examine what fruit you like to eat. Invite Jesus into your heart and He will come into you. His Spirit will merge with your spirit, and you will be born again of the Spirit of Christ and received His divine nature that fits you for Heaven. Repentance is a realization that you are going the wrong way and need to turn around and go the right way. Through repentance we begin to wrestle with the old man, the natural man of the flesh who lives by the ways of death, so we can live by the new man in Christ. The ward between the two spiritual natures of the flesh and the spirit is what the whole Bible is all about. If you can repent, the good news of the Bible is that while you are still breathing air, you can be born again of the Spirit by coming to Christ with all your heart. He will quicken you by His Spirit and you will be born again into His spiritual family. That is what God originally wanted and that is what He offers us while we are in this world.

For He saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succored thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. (2 Corinthians 6:2)

God says, NOW is the time. He has made provision for you to come back unto the Tree of Life so you can eat and live forever with Him. You can do it right now. Tomorrow may never come. Jesus made it possible to receive eternal life and enjoy the things of this world without walking in the ways of death. Jesus shed His sinless blood and died on the dead tree of the cross as your substitute. He took your punishment so He can give you His righteousness before God as you believe in Him. Jesus bore the wrath of God towards us so that God might take pleasure in us, as we believe the truth. God loved you so much that He sent Jesus from Heaven to earth to provide redemption for you. All through the Old Testament, God demonstrated through historical events how He would accomplish redemption for you through His Spiritual Son. He is the Spiritual Tree of Life. He is the spiritual tree that Adam and Eve refused to eat of. Jesus came and showed the fruit of the Spirit that He bears into our heart, and He asks us to eat of Him and live forever. (John 6:57) How do we eat Jesus? It happens naturally as we live by Him.

Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, You seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because you did eat of the loaves, and were filled. Labor not for the meat which perishes, but for that meat which endures unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him God the Father has sealed. Then said they unto Him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that you believe on Him whom He has sent. They said therefore unto Him, What sign will you show then, that we may see, and believe you? what will you work? Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat. Then Jesus said unto them, Surely, surely, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is He which comes down from heaven and gives life unto the world. Then they said unto Him, Lord, give us this bread. And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. But I said unto you, That you also have seen me, and believe not.  All that the Father gives me shall come to me; and him that comes to me I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of Him that sent me. And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which He has given me I should lose nothing but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of Him that sent me, that everyone which sees the Son, and believes on Him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. The Jews then murmured at Him, because He said, I am the bread which came down from heaven. And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that He says, I came down from heaven? Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves. No man can come to me, except the Father which has sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that has heard, and has learned of the Father, comes unto me. Not that any man has seen the Father, except he, which is of God, he has seen the Father. Surely, surely, I say unto you, He that believes on me has everlasting life. I am that bread of life. Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us His flesh to eat? Then Jesus said unto them, Surely, surely, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whosoever eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, dwells in me, and I in him. As the living Father has sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eats me, even he shall live by me. This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna and are dead: he that eats of this bread shall live forever. (John 6:26-58)

Do you get it now? In a few minutes of time on earth you will be gone and then comes eternity. Time on earth is measured by minutes. It isn’t just believing in Jesus that came to earth by virgin birth. The Bible says the devils believe in Jesus and they tremble. True faith is putting on Jesus and living by Jesus as He builds His divine nature into you. Put on the new garments of righteousness and abide in Him. Jesus said, He that abides in me, even he shall LIVE BY ME in verse 57. Living by Jesus, moment by moment, we walk right into Heaven as a Son of God. This is what the manna represents in the Bible. The manna that the Pharisees were talking about with Moses was symbolic of Christ who is the bread of Life. It takes about the same amount of time for us to eat of the Tree of Life as it took Eve to eat of the Tree of Death. The Bible says, NOW is the day of salvation and now is the time to eat of the Tree of Life. With God, the time is always NOW. For God there is no tomorrow, but there is only now and living by Jesus is about who I am living by right now.  When you eat of the Tree of Life you change families, spiritual kingdoms, and eternal destinies. The realities of the Spirit realm are more real than the realities of the natural realm. The knowledge of good and evil that this world offers is full of lies and lusts and is limited to the thoughts of men, but the knowledge that proceeds from the Tree of Life quickens the human spirit into God’s Spirit that is alive forevermore. You really are what you eat spiritually. The knowledge you chew on will bear the fruit of your spiritual nature. The Tree of Life is God’s picture to us of Jesus upon the cross, taking our cursed spiritual nature of death and giving us His divine nature of life. When you receive the Spirit of Christ into your heart, your appetite will change. You will want to know all the mysteries of the Kingdom of God, and God wants you to know all the mysteries of godliness. But the knowledge of the Tree of Life is an experiential knowledge that must be activated by faith and applied daily by faith. We have to eat of Jesus divine nature and drink of His Spirit and Jesus said we will live forever.

For He says, I have heard you in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succored you: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. (2 Corinthians 6:2)

It takes about the same amount of time to eat of the Tree of Life as it took Eve to eat of the Tree of Death for us. Just as NOW was the time for Adam and Eve to choose death or life by the spiritual food of knowledge they chose to live by, even so the Bible says the time to eat of the knowledge of the Tree of Life and live forever is NOW.

We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. (2 Corinthians 5:8)

You are going to die. You are going to put off this earthly garment of your flesh. But after that, you will you live in Heaven with Christ? There is only one road that you can go by, the road to eternal life, but while you live in this world, there isn’t much time to change the road you are on. If you are still breathing God’s good air, you can still eat of the Tree of Life. Now is the day of Salvation! Tomorrow may never come for you! That thing your heart is really searching for is God because God created your heart for Himself. The bottom line is this, your heart knows that without God it isn’t safe forever and until you connect with God your spirit will never be satisfied! The password that opens the doors of Heaven is JESUS. Don’t leave earth without it!

Pray to God and be quickened by His Spirit!

Jesus, please come into my heart. I believe right now that you come into my heart and make me alive unto God by your Spirit. Give me a new heart and so I can walk in newness of life. Save me from Satan’s powers of death. I believe that you loved me and that you died upon the cross in my place, as my substitute, to pay the penalty of my eternal punishment to purchase redemption for me so I can become a citizen of Heaven. I believe you rose from the dead and by your Spirit you give me newness of life. Quicken me by your Spirit and change me in my Spirit. Teach me your ways so I can live by you. I lay down my earthy inheritance of the nature of the flesh that I might receive my heavenly inheritance of the divine nature of your Spirit. Thank you, Lord, for saving me so I can live forever in Heaven with you. Teach me Lord how to live by the Spirit and not after the flesh. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen!
