Saving Samson

And the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done. (Judges 14:6)

Samson was a true historical figure that was known as a legendary warrior of Israel. He was famous for his strength and supernatural exploits. This passage of scripture describes the theme of His life. A young lion has pounced upon Samson, and he tore the lion to pieces with his bare hands. (1 Peter 5:8) Don’t forget that because the same thing should happen with you at the end of this blog. Notice where the power came from! The Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon Samson and his strength was supernatural. Samson had to be a believer in God for the the Spirit of the Lord to regularly come upon him so that he did impossible things. The Spirit came mightily upon Samson and God will do the same thing for you if you can believe. (Mark 9:23) Yet Samson was also known for his failure. So are we! While the human race has evolved mentally, it has deteriorated into great wickedness spiritually. You see the same cycle of wickedness by the rulers of the darkness of this world coming to a head with God stepping in throughout the history of man in the Bible in the events such as Babel, Noah’s flood, Sodom and Gomorrah, the Pharaoh of Egypt, Jericho, Nebuchadnezzar, Samson and the Philistines, David and Goliath, Rome, the middle ages and now in the last days. (Ephesians 6:12) While man has acheved great knowledge through science, technology, entertainment, etc. the selfish spiritual nature of man has descended into great wickedness. Men are lovers of selves rather than lovers of God. How is that possible? Read (2 Timothy 3:2-5, 1 John 2:15, 1 John 3:10) to get the answer to that riddle.

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to naught things that are: That no flesh should glory in His presence. (1 Corinthians 1:27-29)

Just in case you haven’t noticed, things on planet earth aren’t going the way God wants them to. God has other plans for mankind besides death and destruction. God has been with mankind from the beginning of history and He will be with us until the end of human history. However you should know that the episodes of the Bible are not just historical events. God doesn’t just do things. God does everything for His purpose. God never does anything without accomplishing His purpose. In everything God does, He teaches something. God never does anything without teaching something that points us unto the truth of the redemption that is in Christ. The way God does that is by using natural things to reveal spiritual things. God likes to reveal Himself to the creature, so whenever He does something in the Bible, He is always teaching something that opens the eyes of those that are spiritually blind. (Acts 26:18) The natural man reads the Bible from a historical perspective, but what you are really seeing is a historical God demonstrating how He is going to fulfill His blood covenant promise of a redeemer from Heaven that would come to crush the head of the serpent (Satan) and destroy his powers of sin, death and hell over humanity. God is the God of the living and not the dead. (Mark 12:27) If you will focus the eyes of your heart upon the historical event to see truth, then the invisible picture of things not seen will flow into your heart and you will see the real lesson that God is trying to teach you. Jesus died upon the cross for your redemption and God raised Him from the dead for your salvation. Every historical event in the Bible is designed to open your eyes to that great historical event of the cross to see the innocent Son of God dying in your place, as your substitute to pay your death penalty for sin. (Acts 26:18) But That’s Not All. God then raised Jesus from the dead so you can come to Heaven by His righteousness AND so you can walk with the Heavenly Father by faith while you are on earth. As you read this blog, Samson will be a good example for you of how God works through people of the Bible to demonstrate the victory of the Cross of Christ in some way.

“Heaven and Earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away. (Matthew 24:35) It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. (John 6:63)

God’s words are supernatural containers of His thoughts that project spiritual pictures of truth into our minds. (Isaiah 55:11) His mental pictures are designed to reveal invisible realities of Christ in our hearts that will supernaturally affect us. (Acts 26:18) Just like God created the world with His words, even so He recreates our hearts through the supernatural power of His words. If you will focus upon the words of God with your heart, you will see the secret that God is teaching about Christ through the historical event. We do the same with our natural kids that God does with His spiritual kids. When they are babes we show them pictures and cartoons. As they grow up into children we use words to explain the pictures. As they mature we use demonstrations to get the point across. Demonstrations plus Explanations equals Revelations! God does the same with us. In the Old Testament we look forward to God’s promise as He uses historical events that reveal how Christ is going to come and fulfill the promise. In the New Testament, we look back as God uses words of doctrine to show us how Christ fulfilled His promise at the cross. When we understand the divine lesson, then we say “This is that!” Rmember; Old Testament Demonstrations plus New Testament explanations brings spiritual revelations.

I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please. (Isaiah 46:10)

Just because we can’t see God, that doesn’t mean He isn’t real. The historical events of the whole Bible prove that God is real. God has recorded all the historical events of the Old and New Testaments in His book called the Bible as His eternal journal in Heaven. The Bible is God’s historical record of the creation of the universe, His creation of man and the development of His spiritual family in the line of Abraham through which the Messiah would come to redeem us from Satan’s doininion and powers of death and bring us unto Heaven. Science hasn’t been able to prove anything otherwise that contradicts the Bible. Archaeology has confirmed and proven Bible history to be true. God has recorded the spiritual history of man from the beginning to the end, even before the end. God begins His record with the first man Adam. He disobeyed God and gave away his God-given dominion over planet earth and the human race to a fallen angel called Satan. In his obedience unto Satan, Adam separated from God, bringing the world under the control of the rulers of the darkness of this world (Ephesians 6:12) and Satan’s curse of sin, death and hell into the human race. Adam also lost his God-given calling as a natural Son of God (Luke 3:38) to become a spiritual Son of God and enlarge the heavenly father’s family with more spiritual Sons. (Galatians 4:4-5) The curse of sin, death and hell that came upon Adam has been passed down to all of us who are his progeny through the bloodlines of the fathers. God promised our first parents and made blood covenant with Abraham that He would send the second man from Heaven with the divine nature to reverse the curse for us. (1 Corinthians 15:47) Jesus, the only begotten Son of God, came from Heaven by virgin birth to live a perfect life, fulfill the Law of God on our behalf and destroy Satan and his powers of death over mankind. Being born of a virgin, the blood of Jesus isn’t from Adam so Jesus didn’t have Adam’s sin nature like we do and He wasn’t under the curse that came upon the whole world in Adam. God created the precious blood of Jesus with the divine nature in the womb of the virgin called Mary and sent Jesus into the world to redeem us back unto God, so we could be born again of His divine nature and live forever. (Genesis 3:15, John 3:15-16) Do you get it? Through the Spirit of Christ in us, God is still enlarging His heavenly family as He originally planned. (Hebrews 2:10)

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. (Romans 15:4)

God wants you to know and understand truth and that is why He wrote the Bible. Jesus is the seed of Abraham according to the flesh by virgin birth but He is the Son of God with the divine nature of the Holy Spirit. God has fulfilled His blood covenant with Abraham because the curse of death from Adam has no claims upon Jesus. All through the Old Testament, the world tried to control and destroy God’s blood covenant people and with some success, but when His people got right with God according to the blood covenant, He came to their rescue. But in everything God did, He used natural things to teach us the truth of spiritual things. This is the overall theme of the Bible. The world we live in is under the control of the real spiritual Pharaoh called Satan until his time is up. Adam gave Satan the right to exercise dominion over mankind, but God promised a redeemer that would come from Heaven to crush the head of the serpent and destroy Satan’s dominion over all mankind. (Genesis 3:15) The legend of Samson is designed by God to open our eyes to Jesus and His operation of redemption. Samson was one of God’s greatest demonstration models of Jesus Christ. He is God’s spiritual strongman, the true messiah for all mankind. Just like Samson through death destroyed God’s enemies, even so through death Jesus has historically conquered Satan’s principalities and powers of death for us. (Ephesians 6:12) This is the good news of the Bible.

For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. (1 Corinthians 15:21-22)

This passage of scripture about the two Sons of God, (Adam and Christ) and their spiritual families contains in my opinion the first spiritual lesson of truth in the Bible, written aforetime for our learning. I consider it to be the foundation of understanding the Bible. Adam was the first son of God, and through his disobedience unto God he made the mistake of bringing death into the human race. (Luke 3:38) Disobedience unto God always brings death and destruction into our lives and others. You must remember that planet earth and the human race is just a colony of Heaven, but the first governor of earth transferred from God’s kingdom to Satan’s kingdom. (Ephesians 6:12) So the human race went from light to darkness in the spirit realm. Jesus is the second Son of God, begotten of the Father in Heaven through virgin birth for the purpose of accomplishing our redemption from the curse of Satan’s dominion and powers of death and bringing the world and the human race back into God’s government from Heaven. (Isaiah 7:14) Through His obedience unto God, Jesus became the last Adam for us. He brings the divine nature of eternal life into the human race. In Him all believers are redeemed from the curse of Satan’s powers of death and are made alive unto God by His Spirit with eternal resurrection life. Satan is a fallen angel who was once an anointed Cherub called Lucifer in Heaven. He broke God’s law and was cast out of Heaven along with his buddies. He is God’s enemy and our enemy. With Adam’s cooperation, Satan interfered with God’s plan for mankind. If you don’t know about Satan, and how the first man Adam, through his disobedience unto God, gave Satan the dominion over planet earth, you are at a disadvantage spiritually. (Genesis 1:26) Adam committed high treason against God and handed over his God-given dominion to Satan, allowing him to become the god of this world. (2 Corinthians 4:4) Adam’s decision of disobedience triggered the impartation of Satan’s corrupt spiritual nature of the self-program of SIN into him and all of us his progeny. (2 Corinthians 4:4) Without knowing what really happened in that first spiritual transaction between Satan and the first man, you will find it hard to understand the Bible, because you will fail to see the need for the second man to come from Heaven to take back the dominion that made Satan the god of this world. (John 12:31) Through His obedience to the Heavenly Father to submit unto death upon the cross, Jesus became our redeemer, conquered Satand and took back the dominion from Satan for us.

Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. (Hebrews 2:14-15)

Samson is God’s preview to us of Jesus who would come from Heaven to conquer Satan’s Kingdom (Ephesians 6:12) and bring life an immortality to light for us. (2 Timothy 1:10) Religion will give you a set of dos and don’ts and make a bunch of promises if you are loyal, but there is no historical proof that it is true or that it really works or conquers death for us. Anyone can teach a doctrine and start a religion. Anyone can make political promises or start a war. Anyone can lie and spread lies through to the multitude etc, but the one who historically rises from the dead proves that He is God. And the good news is that He gives His power unto us to walk in dominion as we live by Him. We can never become gods like Satan originally promised and some religions teach, but we can become the Sons of God through Christ in us as we learn to live by Him. (John 1:12) The Bible reveals the spiritual side of human history from the beginning to the end and demonstrates the holy war between the spiritual powers of death and life in the spirit realm. (Hebrews 2:14-15) All through the Bible, God has arranged historical events that provide us with mental pictures to see the promised messiah that would come from Heaven, to become our Samson that would save us from Satan’s powers of death and bring us back unto God(Hebrews 2:14-15) In Samson, God provides us with one of His greatest historical demonstrations of Christ, the strong man that came from Heaven to historically deal with the devil and take back the dominion for us. (Luke 10:19)

For this purpose was the Son of God manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. (1 John 3:8)

The historical resurrection of Christ proves that Jesus is the true promised messiah. All throughout the Old Testament, God provides us with historical pictures of blood covenant men that demonstrate Christ and then in the New Testament God talks about His heroes of faith who believed God. (Hebrews 11:1-39) The prophets saw Him in the Spirit and foretold of His coming. People in the Bible like Abel, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, King David, King Solomon, Samson, the prophets, the apostles and many others are all historical figures that God used as demonstrations of spiritual events that generate mental pictures to us of Christ. (Hebrews 11) Ultimately God isn’t just for Israel, but for every soul in the world that believes in the redemption of Christ because He loves us. (1 John 4:16) Again it is important that you understand that Jesus came to take back the dominion which Adam gave to Satan and give it unto us who believe in Him. That is the real purpose of the Messiah. There is no other historical Messiah that has conquered death for us. Samson is one of God’s great pictures of Jesus that He promised would come to be our Messiah. (Genesis 3:15)

And the Spirit of the LORD began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol. (Judges 13:25)

The Spirit of the LORD came upon him mightily, and he tore the lion apart as one tears apart a young goat, and he had nothing at all in his hand; but he did not. (Judges 14:19)

And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of garments unto them which expounded the riddle. And his anger was kindled, and he went up to his father’s house. (Judges 14:19)

And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands. (Judges 15:14)

Then God opened up the hollow place in Lehi, and water came out of it. When Samson drank, his strength returned, and he revived. So the spring was called En Hakkore, and it is still there in Lehi. Samson led Israel for twenty years in the days of the Philistines. (Judges 15:19)

For the natural man, the adventures of Samson are mystifying to say the least. These passages of scripture show the rhythm of the Spirit of God coming upon Samson as a way of life. Samson wasn’t just a muscle man with a weakness for the ladies. Samson is really one of God’s presentations of Jesus and the strength of His divine nature which accomplished redemption that becomes salvation for all men who believe in Him. Samson was born of a barren womb just like Jesus was born of a virgin womb. Samson was a God-man from birth like Jesus with the calling of God upon his shoulders like Jesus. Samson was human but he was anointed with the power of God like Jesus. Samson’s natural strength is symbolic of the spiritual strength of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:21)

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not (seen), to bring to naught things that are (seen): That no flesh should glory in His presence. (1 Corinthians 1:27-29)

In the Bible, first things always come first. Understanding the Bible doesn’t come just by reading about historical events. But God uses historical events to demonstrate Christ and to reveal spiritual truths to us about redemption and salvation. Here is a rule that will help you understand the Bible. God is the greatest teacher. God gets pleasure out of revealing Himself unto us. In everything God does He teaches somethingGod never does anything without teaching something. In all of the historical events of the Old Testament, God uses the things which are seen to teach us the truth about the things which are not seen. Every historical event of God in the Bible is a supernatural demonstration that teaches us about Christ, what He has done for us in Christ, and what He does for us through Christ in us. That is the difference between redemption and Salvation. Samson is an excellent example. When you see all the heroes of faith in the Bible that provide us with the symbolic patterns that point us to Jesus, it is hard to deny that God is very real because it is clear that the historical events are not by accident. They are arranged by God to open our eyes unto the truth of eternity. The Old Testament reveals the dark shadows of the one that is going to come and fulfill God’s promise. Then in the fulness of time, Jesus comes to reveal Himself as the one that cast the shadows. In truth, a promise is a shadow of the real thing is it not? When someone promises you something, don’t you have a picture in your mind of how that promise is going happen? You don’t have the actual thing that was promised, but the promise is a shadow of the thing in your mind that generates hope in your heart, is it not? When they fulfill their promise and give you the gift they promised you, then you get to look at the real thing and now you see what the promise looks like fulfilled, do you not. It’s no longer a shadow, but it is reality. The same is true spiritually with God and His Son Jesus Christ. All through the Old Testament, God makes promises that He is going to fulfill for us through Jesus Christ, using living people and historical events as examples. This only God can do. To the natural man these promises of future things seem weak, base, despised. (1 Corinthians 1:28) Some promises of God would even seem to be things which are not possible. The natural man wants it now, but the spiritual man sees what is yet to come. God doesn’t operate on our time schedule. He speaks what He is going to do and then He demonstrates what He is going to do and then He does what He said He would do at the proper time. God’s promises of things that are not (yet seen) are the very things God will demonstrate to be seen until the time comes for Him to fulfill His promises. For example, Samson’s birth was beyond the ordinary course of nature, just like Jesus’ birth. Samson’s’ birth was foretold by an angel and confirmed by a sign and so was the virgin birth of Jesus. Both Samson and Jesus were Nazarites from the womb. Samson spoke his mind to the Philistines in parables and riddles and so did Jesus among the Pharisees. Samson accomplished many personal victories alone by his own strength. Even so when Jesus spoke, miracles happened naturally, and when all forsook Him, Jesus trod the winepress alone by His own strength all the way to the cross. (Isaiah 63;3) Samson’s first conquest was slaying the lion in the desert that roared upon Him. Even so, before entering His ministry, Christ during His 40 day fast in the desert, first conquered the devil who roams throughout the earth like a roaring lion, who roared upon Him with the three temptations. (1 Peter 5:8, Matthew 4:7) Samson conquered a thousand men with the jawbone of an ass and even so, through the foolishness of preaching and the power of the Holy Spirit, Christ subdues the souls of men unto Himself that are as stubborn as an ass. Many times Samson’s enemies thought that they had caught him, only to find out He had escaped. The same happened with Jesus on many occasions. Just like Samson took a bride unto himself out of the Gentiles, even so, as our redeemer, Jesus took a spouse (the church) unto Himself out of the Gentiles like Boaz, the kinsman redeemer. (Hosea 2:20) Samson, and Christ were both sold for money under the pretense of love by a friend who was really an enemy. They were both apprehended by their enemies and then led away bound. They were both brought to the great feast blinded (Christ was blindfolded). They were both scorned, tied to a post. They both offered themselves unto death willingly, died among wicked men and through death conquered God’s enemies. They both slew more in their death than they did during their lives. (Judges 16:30) Can you see how Samson is just one of many of God’s examples or demonstrations to us in the Bible of the promised Messiah that would come from Heaven to bear witness to the truth of God and accomplish redemption for us?

“The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. (Luke 1:35)

The miraculous birth of Samson is one of several miraculous births God uses in the Bible to portray pictures into our minds of the virgin birth of Christ. Samson did great exploits and conquered many enemies like Jesus. Samson was the wonder of all men in his day just like Jesus. And through the supernatural power of Christ, we who believe are transformed into mighty men that are overcomers in this life like Samson. God has called all believers to be like Samson spiritually as we walk with Him through the Spirit of Christ in us. Every conquest and victory of Samson is a demonstration of God’s Son, the second man with the divine nature from Heaven. Jesus didn’t come from Heaven to show off. Jesus came from Heaven to show us the wayto tell us the truth, to demonstrate eternal life, and serve as a ransom for us from Satan’s bondage of sin and death. (John 14:6) He was born of a virgin to provide precious innocent blood with the divine nature that could seal us into God’s new covenant and cleanse us of our sins. He would historically shed His sinless blood as a ransom to redeem wicked sinners like you and me from God’s wrath and punishment for sin. The gift of Christ is the greatest gift ever given. When we believe in Christ, His blood cleanses us of our sins and His Spirit gives us His divine nature and brings us back under God’s government. (Acts 26:18)

Even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many. (Mark 10:41) And the angel answered and said to her,

Jesus shed His precious blood for us to redeem all believers from Satan’s powers of death and bring them unto glory. At the end of his life, Samson brought glory to God by destroying all of God’s enemies just like Jesus at the end of His life brought much glory unto God by destroying the devil and all of God’s enemies. Even so, we were created for the glory of God. Can you see how Jesus is the real Samson. Can you also see that that God is saving Samson in us as we walk with Him by faith and do exploits to the astonishment of men? As you walk with God by faith, things will happen that only God could arrange for you and you will be amazed because you know that God is with you just like He was with Samson and Christ. (Mark 11:23) God is the heavenly father, and He is enlarging His heavenly family. Through the Spirit of Christ in you, you can be a Son. That is the Secret of Eternity. Jesus Himself taught the religious leaders that natural birth is a miracle that points us to spiritual birth, the rebirth of the human spirit. (John 3:3-12) We are not just human beings. We are spiritual beings with eternal destinies dressed in earthy tents we call physical bodies. (2 Corinthians 5:1) We can pass from the spiritual nature of death into the spiritual nature of eternal life by changing what we believe and receiving the Spirit of Christ into our hearts. Then we will see a difference in our spiritual nature. In Christ we will accomplish things that were impossible for us in the nature of Adam. Just like Samson killed a thousand men with the jawbone of an ass, even so we will destroy a thousand demonic lusts, spiritual mindsets of self, stubborn evil attitudes and ways of death in our hearts throughout our lives as we learn to live by Jesus. He was our substitute in death upon the cross, and by faith in Him, He becomes our substitute in life. We aren’t called just to believe in Jesus, but God really calling us to live by Jesus. (Galatians 2:20) We become the strong-man through the Spirit of Christ in us. If you can’t see the spiritual warfare that is going on in this current evil world and in your own soul, you may still be spiritually dead. God wants to supernaturally wake you up and make a mighty man out of you as you become alive unto Him. (Joel 3:9-10)

He came unto His own, and His own received Him not. But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the Sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:11-13)

There are a multitude of lessons to be learned by the life of Samson, but the end result is that the victory which Samson achieved has been accomplished by Jesus for us all. Now we can be born of God, receive Him in our hearts and learn to live by Him as we prepare for Heaven. (1 Corinthians 1:27-29) The life of Samson demonstrates unto all believers in Christ how He has destroyed our spiritual enemies, how He has redeemed us back unto God and how He quickens us by His Spirit to make us into the Sons of God. (Galatians 4:4-7) Through the Spirit of Christ, God is saving Samson in us all. Christ in us will do great exploits against our spiritual enemies just like Samson did against his enemies. The truth is God isn’t building churches to become social clubs, but to become lighthouses in the darkness of this world to those that are lost. God is still enlarging His heavenly family with a multitude of Sons. You can be a Son! That is the Secret of Eternity. That is the eternal inheritance. God has no pleasure in the death of the wicked. (Ezekiel 33:11) God is the living God and He wants us to live forever with Him and while we are on earth He wants us to save Samson in us so we can truly live. God sees Samson in us and He wants to save us and empower us to overcome every enemy of God and become His very own sons through the Spirit of Christ in us. Jesus is the real Samson and as we believe in Christ, we are saving Samson on the inside of our hearts and we are going from strength to strength, receiving the adoption of sons. (Ephesians 1:5, Galatians 4;4-5, Psalm 84:7) God also teaches us that while we are on planet earth, we will never be perfect. We will all make mistakes. We will all do things in the flesh that will bring defeat in our lives and even dishonor God just like Samson, but God still loves us. God can still work through your life to bless others, to destroy His enemies and bring glory to His name just like He did with Samson. For the rest of your life, you will hear two voices. The devil will speak to you in your head and God will speak to you in your heart and you will decide which voice you will listen to that takes you to victory or defeat. When you experience defeat, learn the lesson, get back up, confess your sin unto God, and be cleansed by His blood. Go again with the wisdom you have gained and believe that God can still use you. Listen to God’s voice like Jesus always did. Jesus was never defeated. Even death itself couldn’t defeat Jesus. When we listen to God’s words and obey His voice like Jesus did, we may experience hardship, but we will win the battle that is designed to destroy our lives like Samson. David the King was like Samson in many ways. He missed it in many ways but he got back up and walked with God and God blessed him. Like Samson, David had supernatural victories and then committed great sins, but afterwards He was still the king. He cried unto God and received mercy. God is a God of mercy and love. We all make mistakes like Samson and King David, but God still loves us and God can still use us to glorify Him. God has provided all the tools you need to get back in the race and run with all His might for Him. He is the mighty God and through His Son Jesus Christ, the real Samson, He has conquered and defeated Satan’s powers of death for us. As our Messiah, Christ bequeaths His victory over Satan unto us and He expects us to walk in His dominion by faith and to live by Him so we can win with His might through the Spirit of Christ in us. (2 Corinthians 5:7, John 6:57, Luke 10:19, Philippians 4:13)

For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. (1 John 3:8)

Jesus was the King of Heaven! He came from Heaven to earth through virgin birth to be our conqueror like Samson for us. He came to destroy Satan’s powers of death for everyone and redeem us back unto God. (Hebrews 10:7-9) I’ve been repetitive with this statement because this is the foundation of understanding the Bible. Without redemption there can be no salvation. We regenerate His redemption into our salvation by faith. The life of Samson is God’s demonstration to us of how the believer in Christ turns His redemption into salvation by the supernatural walk of faith. Samson dwelt among his enemies and achieved many victories and when it looked like all was lost, he gained the greatest victory. Even so Christ came into our hostile world and dwelt among His enemies and He never saw defeat. Jesus wasn’t depending upon His physical strength but upon the indwelling power of God’s Holy Spirit. Jesus demonstrated the miraculous lifestyle of obedience unto God, unto which we are all called. Jesus voluntarily laid down His life upon the cross and shed His innocent blood for us as our redeemer. When Jesus died, it looked like all was lost but that is where Jesus gained His greatest victory. Through death, Jesus conquered Satan’s powers of death and opened the gate of Heaven for us all. The resurrection of Christ proves that obeying God works. (Hebrews 2:14) Jesus did everything He did to give us the power to become the Sons of God through the Spirit of Christ in us. God calls all humans to put on Christ, to overcome the ways of death, to defeat the enemy of our souls and become the Sons of God. (Galatians 4:4-5) Jesus is our example of what a real Son of God looks like. By faith we learn to die unto the sin nature and the traditions of the world in order that we may no longer walk in the ways of death, but live by the Spirit of Christ unto God. (Proverbs 14:12, Romans 6:11) The hatred of the world towards Jews and Christians is a great mystery. The Bible gives us the reason for that. It is a different lesson. It is one of the great secrets of the Bible. Jesus tells us why in (Matthew 24:9-14, 1 John 3:13). It is called “the enmity in (Genesis 3:15). It is part of the theme of the Bible. We have a great class on this subject in our book called; “Death and Life, Secret of the Bible.” The bottom line is there has been a holy war going on in the spirit realm from the very beginning for the dominion over planet earth and the human race. The devil stole the dominion from the first man but the second man from Heaven defeated Satan and took back the dominion for us all. (Luke 10:19, Revelations 1:18) The war is over, but victory has only just begun and we are supposed to occupy until He comes again to make His redemption our salvation for eternity. (Luke 19:13)

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. (Genesis 3:15)

The key to God’s secret of the Messiah is found here in God’s first promise to our first parents. (Genesis 3:15) God tells Satan in front of Adam and Eve, “I will PUT enmity between you (Satan) and her, between your kids and her kids, you will bruise His heel, but He will crush your head.” The enmity God is talking about to our first parents is a He, so He will be a divine person that God will PUT on earth to defeat Satan for us. That is the first promise of God in the Bible unto every soul born of Adam, which includes you and me, and it is the promise that all of God’s promises are founded upon. Yet it also reveals that there are two spiritual families in planet earth, those in the serpent’s kingdom of darkness (thy seed) and those in the kingdom of light (her seed). We are all born of the flesh into the kingdom of the darkness of this world by natural birth, and we must be born again of the Spirit into the kingdom of light. This wonderful miracle is the rebirth of our spirits through receiving the Spirit of Christ into our hearts by faith. The children of darkness are against the children of light because they naturally feel conviction from the children of light. Believers in Christ are not of the same spirit as unbelievers. Unbelievers despise believers, just like Jesus’ own people hated Him without a cause. But knowing who hates you is better than being befriended by someone who is your enemy in disguise like Satan did with Adam and Eve. There are many examples of the enmity in the Bible such as Cain and Abel, Ishmael and Isaac, Jacob and Esau, Moses vs Pharaoh, David vs Goliath, David vs Saul, Samson vs the Philistines, Israel against their enemies, as well as Jesus and His religious countrymen. They all demonstrate the enmity between Jesus and Satan, between darkness and light. It’s part of the theme of the Bible. In the end, Samson accomplished the ultimate victory over God’s enemies, demonstrating the resurrection victory of Christ for us all. God calls all believers to put on Christ and do the same. Just like Samson, for some of us, the lesson of saving Samson (our hearts) to walk in sonship before God, will take a lifetime to learn.

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. (Matthew 26:41)

Samson’s life is also a demonstration of our personal battle between the two spiritual natures of the flesh and the Spirit. Samson was strong in the flesh but weak in the Spirit like we all are. Yet Samson was God’s picture to us of Jesus, the true spiritual strong man. Jesus was strong in the Spirit, who conquered and defeated every enemy of God and man including Satan, who is the god of this world. (2 Corinthians 4:4) The flesh nature with Satan’s self-program trains the human to walk in the ways of death. (Proverbs 14:12)  It is a be your own god self-program in the dark soul and dead heart of man passed down to us from the first man Adam. The self program of sin generates the lusts of the flesh, the lies of the mind and the spiritually dead nature of living without God for self. If you live after the flesh you shall die, but if you through the Spirit, mortify (put to death) the deeds of the body, you shall live forever. (Romans 8:13) We are all born of the flesh. In the nature of the flesh dwells no good thing. (Romans 7:18) That is why the whole world is full of wickedness. But God, who is rich in mercy can quicken our hearts by His Spirit and make all things new. (Revelation 21:5)

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us. But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth. (1 John 2:15-21)

You will notice I haven’t gone into Delilah in this blog because I want the sole focus is all upon Samson who is God’s picture to us of Christ. I do want you to see what God says about this world for you young people who go out into the world only to get spiritually slaughtered by the unseen powers of death. The whole world is programmed to bring every soul under Satan’s dominion as the ruler of the darkness of this world. (Ephesians 6:12) Notice in this passage that God calls us little children. That is how He sees us. No matter what you have done or where you have been, you are God’s little child and He wants to bring you to Heaven. That is why Jesus came from Heaven to earth to be the true Samson that could destroy the rulers of the darkness of this world for us. This passage says, “all that is in the world.” What is “all that’s in this world?” The lusts of the flesh, the lusts of the eyes and the pride of life, that’s what is in the world. We are trained by the world through all types of media, relationships and habits to lust for everything the five senses can comprehend. It is perfectly normal for the human to walk in the ways of death to fulfill the lusts of the flesh, the lusts of the eyes and the pride of life. (Proverbs 14:12) All the traps of Satan fall into these three main classifications. The lies of lust, sex, self and selfishness are all loaded into the kids by the world system through the media. I say to the male, “the hook is in the look so don’t look or look down.” The female wants to be loved, loved, loved, and I say to the female, “what happens when you have sex; you have a baby!” Need I say more? God talks about the foolishness of the spiritual nature of humans all the way through the Bible. It got so out of control in Noah’s day that God had to restart the world over again because the demonic powers of Satan were manifesting in humans to such a degree that the pure holy seed of the woman, the future birth of Jesus, was being threatened. The bloodline through which the promised seed would come was in danger of being destroyed. Yes there is much more to be said about “all that is in the world,” and we go real deep about these things in one of our books. The God-man called Samson got caught in all three areas. These are the spiritual forces of darkness under Satan’s dominion that work to bring every soul under their dominion to destroy their souls. You are no exception. However, there is a way of escape. Jesus is the way. He will save you if you ask Him to with all your heart. He will also guide you into all truth and show you things to come that your joy may be full. (John 15:11) All that is of the world…….is not of the Father but of the world. (1 John 2:15-17) Your heavenly Father wants you to be pure and clean and ready for that moment when Christ returns to bring the whole world system back under His dominion forever.

And He said, “That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.” (Matthew 15:20-23)

God created us all for citizenship in Heaven. But with Adam’s permission, Satan hijacked God’s family. Adam chose to be his own god and to live by Satan’s overrated be-your-own-god self-program and build a new world order. That spiritual nature has been passed down to all of us who are his progeny. The result is everyone now lives just for themselves. The spiritual death-doomed nature of the flesh isn’t fit for citizenship in Heaven. Jesus came from Heaven to demonstrate the divine nature and bring us back unto God. Jesus did nothing of self. (John 5;19) Jesus only obeyed His heavenly father and the Spirit was upon Him without measure. (John 3:34-35, John 5:19) There was no self-program in the heart of Jesus to block the flow of God’s supernatural power. (John 5:30) Jesus never went anywhere without being sent by His father. (John 6:38) Jesus never spoke a word without His father telling Him what to say. (John 3:34, 12:49, 14:24,) Jesus never did a miracle without His Father’s permission. (John 5:17-19, 8:29) Jesus told the Pharisees that the scriptures are all about Him. (John 5:39, 46-47) Jesus was the perfect example of what a Son of God looks like, thinks like, acts like, and loves like. He Himself said that He is the Son of God. (Matthew 3:17, Luke 3:22, John 8:24, 10:22-39, 14:6-11) Either He lied, or He was telling the truth. Jesus had to tell the truth because Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life and no man comes to the Father but by me.” (John 14:6) Jesus told Pontius Pilot while He was being prepared for the cross, “Everyone that is of the Truth Hears My Voice. (John 18:37) Jesus said, “If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.”(John 7:17) As believers in Christ, we are called to depart from the ways of death and experience the fellowship and goodness of God. (Proverbs 14:12) The historical resurrection of Jesus proves that He is the promised Son of God and His resurrection gives us hope. (Revelation 1:18) The key phrase Jesus gave us was the words, “Abide In Me and I In You.” (John 15:4-5, 1 John 2:27) Adam made the wrong choice for us all. Adam’s choice wasn’t fair to us who are his progeny. Jesus is the last Adam and He has made that second chance of eternal life available unto us all. (1 Corinthians 15:45) We can live by Jesus’ son-program and live forever with Him, or we can stay in the devil’s self-program of SIN, and we will die and spend eternity with him. That is the difference between death and life. We are masters at justifying our sins and deceiving ourselves, but the good and evil nature of the flesh is still good and evil and that spiritual nature is unfit for Heaven. You can’t wash away your spiritual nature by doing good works, thinking good thoughts, and doing good deeds. You have to be born again of the Spirit to get the spiritual nature of Christ into you that makes you fit for Heaven. (John 3:3-8) But first Jesus had to come from Heaven to earth and through death forcefully conquer Satan, take back the dominion from him, and then rise again with all power in Heaven and earth. Now can you see Samson in Jesus? If you just look at Samson you are bewildered by his exploits but when you see Samson demonstrating Jesus as the powers of death and life clash in the spirit realm, then God’s picture to us of Samson makes plenty of sense.

And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon Him. (Luke 2:40)

By becoming weak in the spiritual nature of the flesh, the believer in Christ grows and becomes strong in the Spirit of Christ. (2 Corinthians 6:14) Unbelievers think that believers in Christ are weak but God makes them strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. (Ephesians 6:10-12) Natural humans live to enjoy the pleasures of the world. They are weak in the Spirit and blind to the things of God. Delilah is symbolic of the great snare of lust that blinds the eyes of men to the things of God. Samson allowed lust to blind him to the voice of God. Samson sold out to the flesh like we all do. He fell asleep in Delilah’s arms, and she cut His hair, which was his crown of glory and the symbol of the power of God’s Spirit. The same thing happens to the call of God upon our lives when we fall asleep in the arms of the world. What difference does it make whether the devil talks to us through a serpent or a pretty woman; nothing! The Philistines put the fire to his eyes and Samson was made to be blind. As we grow up into adults, the devil puts the fire of his lies to our eyes also and we totally forget about spiritual things because we see the whole world as our oyster. We fall asleep spiritually when we listen to the voice of the flesh and we become blind the the things of God when we are blinded by the world. Then they put Samson to work at the grinding stone serving the Philistines. We all do the same. We give ourselves to the world and become slaves to the world system. We spend our allotted time on earth obeying the lusts of the flesh while blindly pushing away like blinded Samson at the grinding stone of the self-program of SIN to promote the world agenda. If we fail to serve God, we will serve the world and in the end we will die. What good is it to just work for a living to make a few bucks, enjoy a few pleasures of self and then die like a dog. Death was never a part of God’s original plan. Death is an enemy of God and man. God wants us to walk with Him by faith and live forever. God wants us to know truth and to overcome the enemies of our souls. God is not the god of the dead, but of He is the God of the living. (Mark 12:27) God is the living God and He gives eternal life to all who call upon Him and receive His gracious provision of redemption that was wrought through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the true Samson. (Jeremiah 10:10)

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. (Romans 8:37)

The people of Israel couldn’t get the victory over their enemies without Samson. Even so, believers in Christ Jesus can’t get the victory over the enemy without obeying the Holy Spirit of Christ. Believers have to conquer the spiritual self-nature of the flesh, the ways of death, the world system, the lies of the devil and the demonic strongholds of SIN to live by Jesus and experience deliverance from the god of this world(Hebrews 2:14) Eternal life is God’s gift to us through Jesus Christ, but we must enter into His resurrection victory by faith. (Ephesians 1:3) Believing the truth of God quickens your heart and your spirit into spiritual reality. Jesus died our death so we could live unto God by Him. He was our substitute in death and if we walk by faith He will become our substitute in life. The resurrection victory of Christ doesn’t just fall on us. We must receive His Spirit and put on Christ by faith. (Romans 13:14) Jesus is alive and He quickens us by His Spirit to make us alive unto God. (John 5:21) Believing in Jesus is the lifestyle of thinking His thoughts, walking in His ways, and being led of His Spirit. When we open the door of our hearts to Jesus, He quickens us by His Holy Spirit so we can live by Him. Samson did great and mighty things by the anointing of the Spirit, but he gave himself over to the flesh and in doing so he became blind to the things of the Spirit. Being blind, he had to serve the world in his blindness like us all. We can learn a lot from Samson. The Philistines come for us all because they are appointed by Satan to rule over us, to manage his world system and fulfill his new world order agenda. We must become like Samson and walk in the anointing of Christ to overcome the hostile spirits and demonic powers with the worldly mindsets of the Philistines. (1 John 2:26-27)

Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. (Hebrews 2:14-15)

Samson with all his flaws, demonstrated Jesus in the Old Testament. Even so Jesus fulfilled the divine pictures of Samson in the New Testament. Can you see God demonstrating His Son in Samson? Just like Samson destroyed God’s enemies and saved God’s people, even so Jesus historically destroyed God’s enemies upon the cross. In doing so, Jesus accomplished redemption for us so we could become God’s people on earth and citizens of Heaven. (Philippians 3:20) Just like God through Samson destroyed the rulers of the Philistines over Israel who were His enemies, even so, God through Jesus destroyed Satan and all his principalities and powers of death who are the spiritual enemies of God that currently rule over the world system and want to rule over God’s people. Do you see it? When the devil comes to you like a roaring lion seeking to devour you with the spirit of fear, do you break him to pieces with the bare hands of your heart through the Spirit of power, love and a sound mind? (1 Peter 5:8, 2 Timothy 1:7) During Samson’s conquests, we notice the phrase in each scripture saying, “the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him.” Samson was experiencing “the Spirit upon.” All of the Old Testament heroes experienced supernatural power of “the Spirit upon.” They couldn’t experience “the Spirit within,” until Jesus died and rose again to give us His Spirit within. They all point us to Christ, but the amazing events of Samson point us to Christ who had the Spirit within and destroyed our spiritual enemies for us. (Hebrews 11:38-40) Under the Old Blood Covenant, the Spirit could only come upon men of faith that were born of Adam, because men had not yet received the divine nature of Christ. Under the New Blood Covenant, Jesus has risen from the dead and He now imparts His Spirit unto us to give us His divine nature so that we are born again and have His Spirit within. Jesus expects us to occupy until He comes. (Luke 19:13) We should get busy exercising the dominion of Christ in you lives and expect Him to do miracles in our lives so we can be a Samson while we are in this world. Can you see the revelation in God’s pictures?

But the anointing (of the Spirit) which ye have received of Him abides in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing (of the Spirit) teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you, ye shall abide in Him. (1 John 2:27)

God wants us to know the difference between the Spirit upon and the Spirit within(John 14:26) The anointing of the Spirit within couldn’t be given to humans until Jesus had died and rose again. Jesus had to die our death as our substitute to accomplish God’s justice towards sin and then rise again to bestow God’s mercy upon us and give His Spirit unto all who believe. Jesus appeared to His disciples and breathed upon them, and His Spirit came WITHIN them. (John 20:22-24) Then He poured out His Holy Spirit UPON the people in the upper room in the second chapter of the book of Acts. The Spirit within qualifies you to walk in the Spirit upon if you are an obedient son. Jesus is our demonstration model of what a Son of God looks like, thinks like, acts like and loves like. The whole book of Acts displays glorious events of ordinary people who walked with God and were filled with the Spirit.

‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. (Acts 2:17)

The gods of the Philistines represent the principalities and powers of Satan in the spirit realm with their powers of death and destruction over man. Through his death Samson conquered God’s enemies in the Old Testament as a symbolic type of Christ in the New Testament. God sent Jesus from Heaven to earth through virgin birth as our Messiah to accomplish redemption for us so we can receive His divine nature and return unto God as though we have never sinned. God made His promise to us in Adam and Eve and He has kept His promise through the promised Son, Jesus Christ. Samson is God’s picture to us of Jesus and His battle to take back the dominion from Satan that Adam gave to him in the beginning. The photo of Samson in this blog is a picture of Jesus on the cross. Through death Jesus defeated Satan‘s powers of death for us and historically rose again from the dead for us. Now Jesus shares His dominion with us so we can live unto God by His Spirit, receive the adoption of sons and exercise dominion over all God’s enemies until the last day. (Galatians 4:4-5) God’s not dead and neither is Jesus Christ, and He makes us alive unto God by His Spirit the moment we cry out to Him with ALL our hearts! I am repeating this spiritual precept of the dominion, line upon line so you won’t forget basic things of eternal truth. Satan’s dominion of death over mankind is coming to an end for all believers in Christ.

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against His anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sits in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall He speak unto them in His wrath and vex them in His sore displeasure. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, You are my Son; this day have I begotten you. (Psalm 2:1-7)

The rulers of this world (Satan and all his cohorts) had gotten together in a meeting and plotted against the LORD, and against His anointed. But God isn’t blind. God knows everything that is going to happen, and He knows the end before it begins. (Isaiah 46:10) The Bible says that God looked down from Heaven and saw their meeting and laughed.

Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to naught: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. (1 Corinthians 2:6-8)

Our few thousand years of human history is only a few moments of eternity for God. The Bible is God’s book where He documents every spiritual event that happened throughout history to teach us truth for eternity. All the events of the Old Testament are historical demonstrations that God uses to form divine pictures in our minds and patterns in our hearts of how God would send His son from Heaven to break Satan’s spiritual strongholds of dominion over all humanity. Every historical event in the Bible is a demonstration of something Jesus has accomplished and will accomplish for us. Jesus is the real Samson. Jesus has conquered Satan’s principalities and powers of the darkness over this world for us. When we believe in Christ, we receive the Spirit of Christ into our hearts. (Romans 8:11) The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in us and quickens our mortal bodies. (2 Corinthians 4:11) Because we live in a world under Satan’s dominion, we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places(Ephesians 6:12) That is why the Bible says that we must cast down imaginations and every high thought that contradicts the words of God because those thoughts are not coming from flesh and blood, but from unseen ruling spirits in the spirit realm. (2 Corinthians 4:18) The truth is; words are spiritual birds and lies are spiritual flies. They will zoom around your head, but you can’t let them build a nest in your hair. Do you get it? When you think you are alone, you are not alone. This whole world is filled with swarms of evil wicked beings in the spirit realm that generate lies in the hearts of men because they want to destroy God’s creation. When we grow spiritually and learn to take control of our minds so that we are no longer ruled by the thoughts, the lusts, and desires of the flesh, we are defeating our spiritual enemies and God is saving Samson in us. Here is a good way to take a measure of your spirituality. If you are controlled by your thoughts and you can’t control your thoughts and you just believe everything the world tells you, then you are lost and without strength and you are in spiritual danger of being lost for eternity. The battle is for your heart and your soul.

You adulterers and adulteresses, don’t you know that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Do ye think that the scripture says in vain, The spirit that dwells in us lusts to envy? But He gives more grace. Therefore He says, God resists the proud, but gives grace unto the humble. (James 4:46)

But that’s not all! If you are a true believer in Christ, the world will hate you, try to destroy you and bring you under their curse of death. God hasn’t called believers to be friends with the world but to be the light of the world. (Matthew 5:14-15) The believer in Christ needs to understand a spiritual law that the Bible calls “the enmity.” We have a whole chapter about the enmity in our book, “The Operation of God, Secret of Redemption.” Just like the world hated and killed the most innocent and perfect man that ever lived because of the enmity, even so the the whole world will hate all Jews and believers in Christ. Why is that? It’s the same reason the Philistines always tried to destroy Samson. It’s part of the “death and life secret” of the Bible. The devil in them can see the Spirit of Christ in you.  (Colossians 3:6) You can be the best athlete and win the most games and become a world champion and the whole world will rave about you, but the moment you mention Jesus Christ, they will turn on you, mock you, persecute you and hate you and they don’t even know why. Why is that? It’s because of the enmity. The devil knows his time on earth is almost finished. (Revelation 12:12) God is trying to paint a picture in your mind with Samson, that with much warfare we must enter into eternal life. (Acts 14:22, Matthew 11:12, Acts 14:22) The whole account of Samson is a constant record of the divine friction which the Bible calls the enmity. It is part of the divine puzzle and Samson is a good example of it. Jesus said we shouldn’t  marvel if the world hates us, because without realizing it, they are really hating Him. (1 John 3:10-13) The war you are really fighting is against unseen enemies in the spirit realm, but Christ has conquered them all and He generates resurrection power in our hearts to overcome them and inherit the promises. (Hebrews 6:12)

For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow His steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in His mouth: Who, when He was reviled, reviled not again; when He suffered, He threatened not; but committed Himself to Him that judges righteously: Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls. (1 Peter 2:21-25)

With Delilah’s betrayal, the Philistines put the fire to Samson’s eyes to make him blind. God is showing how the spiritual nature of lust does the same thing spiritually to us. Lust blinds us to the things of God and makes us a slave of the world system. The Philistines toyed with blind Samson for sport, watching him swing great punches at his unseen enemies. The world will try to do the same to all believers in Christ. They made fun of Samson like the world makes fun of Christians and Jews. Those who are spiritually blind cannot see the blood covenant seal upon the souls of the saved ones but the angels can. (Hebrews 1:14) Samson was the great champion of God who was made into a blind slave of the Philistines, but God was saving Samson. Jesus was greater than Samson ever was. Open your eyes and behold the Son of God defeating our spiritual enemies upon the cross.  Jesus never sinned. Jesus only obeyed His Father God. No guile was found in His mouth, yet He suffered for us. We can barely keep our mouth shut when we are frustrated. When He was reviled, He didn’t respond back in word or deed. When He suffered, He didn’t threaten anyone. He trusted in the wisdom and power of God to deliver Him. As our substitute, Jesus fulfilled the Law of God for us and He Bore away OUR SINS. He gave us His divine nature and His righteous standing with God. We were going astray, but He was the great shepherd and Bishop of our souls who brought us back unto God. By His stripes He took all our diseases and by His stripes we were healed, yet very few ever receive their healing. (Isaiah 53:5) We were spiritually dead in sins and blind unto God. (Ephesians 2:5, 2 Corinthians 4:4) Now through His righteousness we can be made alive and live spiritually unto God by faith. We can see God working His divine nature in our hearts and lives. Jesus cared about our souls and He did all that He did that He might by all means save some of us. (Titus 2:14) Jesus was and is the real Samson, but we must live by Him and walk with God by faith if we are going to save Samson in our souls. Jesus suffered more than any man has ever suffered on earth to provide redemption for us that becomes our salvation.

In whom the god of this world (Satan) hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. (2 Corinthians 4:4)

Here is the clue. The flesh nature of Satan’s self-program blinds our minds to the truth so we can serve the world and perish forever. (John 12:40) The blinded mind gives the devil an advantage because when you are spiritually blind, you can’t see how Satan is using you or what he’s really doing in your life. We think we are living the life and having fun on planet earth while we are being set up for destruction. The Holy Spirit of Christ opens our eyes to the truth so we can live by Jesus, walk with God by faith and have supernatural experiences like Samson. (John 16:13) Through the Spirit of Christ in us we overcome the world, bringing glory unto God and we enter into the eternal promise like Samson. To the world, Samson was strange because He was like no other. Even so, as believers we seem strange to unbelievers because we are not like them. We choose to walk with God rather than walk in the ways of death and God blesses us and empowers us to do exploits to their frustration and dismay. (Proverbs 14:12)

Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when He had found him, He said unto him, “Do you believe on the Son of God?” He answered and said, Who is He, Lord, that I might believe on Him? And Jesus said unto him, You have both seen Him, and it is He that talks with you. And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped Him. And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. And some of the Pharisees which were with Him heard these words, and said unto Him, Are we blind also? Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remains. (John 9:35-41)

Jesus healed a blind man and when the man told the Pharisees that Jesus healed him, they cast him out of the temple because He healed him on the sabbath day. Normal people would rejoice with the blind person that can now see, but religion is blind to the goodness of God. Jesus healed people many times on the sabbath day just to teach them truth. Jesus found the man and encouraged him to not only see physically but to behold the things of God spiritually. Jesus wants to open our eyes to spiritual things also. When we become blind to the world like Samson, then our eyes open to see the things of God clearly. That’s when we become alive unto God and strong in the power of His might like Samson to destroy our spiritual enemies that have ruled over us all our lives. Can you now see why God is saving Samson in you. How is it that a believer in Christ overcomes the flesh, the world and the devil and the world wants to persecute them? They are spiritually blind and know not what they do. (Luke 23:34) They cannot see the value of living by Jesus and overcoming the the flesh with its ways of death. (Proverbs 14:12) We must save Samson if we are going to save our souls for eternity. We must become blind like Samson to the things of this world so we can see the victory of Christ within our hearts to the glory of God. We must give ourselves to God so He can give us His truth, His mind, and His strength. As long as we walk in the flesh we will live by our own strength and we will be weak in the spiritual nature of Christ against our spiritual enemies, but when we are strong in the Lord, we overcome our spiritual enemies. Samson destroyed his enemies in his life and in his death, glorifying God. He points us unto Christ who is the real Samson and overcame all our enemies for us in His life, His death and His resurrection.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: (Ephesians 6:10-17)

Yet what Christ did for us as our substitute upon the cross, doesn’t just fall on us. We must walk by faith. We must be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might to save Samson. Notice the amount of work in this passage of scripture for the believer who wants to save Samson. Six times you see the word “against” in this passage of scripture, implying there are many enemies you have to contend with. Satan likes to tear things down and destroy things to get back at God, but God likes to create things and build things of value that last forever. (John 10:10)

In whom the god of this world (Satan) has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. (2 Corinthians 4:4)

We are all born into this world as the progeny of Adam with blinded minds. We know nothing about eternity. We are programmed by the god of this world, the spiritual pharaoh, to be the slaves of his new world order agenda. Where do you think thoughts come from? The Tree of Knowledge is still full of lies. Jesus said that Satan is the father of lies. (John 8:44) We are no match for Satan, but Satan is no match for God. In the end, all the principalities and powers of Satan in the universe will be cast down from their universal thrones just like the rulers and masters in the temple were destroyed by Samson. Several times in this passage of scripture you see words underlined showing the tremendous focus we must have to be victorious over our unseen enemy, the devil and his forces. God has provided great spiritual armor for us and the whole world is against us and the way of victory only comes as we wrestle against the principalities and powers of Satan that have ruled over us all our lives. That includes the mindsets, attitudes and ways of death that are programmed into us by Satan’s self-program of SIN. We have to apply the death, the burial and resurrection of Christ by faith. The Old Testament saints did that before Jesus even came. Many of them saw Christ and His victory over Satan’s powers of death through the words of God long before the cross. Jesus bore the full weight of the punishment we deserve, which included separation from God. Jesus suffered and died as our substitute and was punished in our place for our sins. Then He rose again to defeat Satan and all his demonic principalities and powers for all mankind. He is the real Samson. We see His victory as history, but it is really God’s program of redemption that we apply to become our salvation. His redemption becomes our salvation through the application of our faith. By His grace we are saved through faith. (Ephesians 2:8) Salvation through the Spirit of Christ is God’s gift to us but it is also God’s program that we must apply by faith. Soldiers get trained before they go to war. Even so God trains believers to be spiritual soldiers against invisible enemies as we walk by faith. God empowers us through the Spirit of Christ to look at the things which are not seen, to inherit the eternal promise, and to become champions, the sons of God. When we put off our bodies, we will enter into our eternal home, either into eternal damnation or into eternal glory. In the end, if we want to save ourselves, we must do what Samson did. In his death Samson destroyed God’s enemies, their gods, and their temple where they worshipped. You can see in my photo of Samson that the temple fell on the world below and the rulers of this world above. When Samson was blind to this world his strength returned and He destroyed them. God was demonstrating to all mankind what really happened with Jesus upon the cross and what happens to us as believers. Every event in the Bible is a demonstration to us of the Operation of God, the divine surgery that took place upon the cross. While the whole world watched, Jesus through death, God destroyed Satan and his powers of death over all mankind(Hebrews 12:14)

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that does the will of God abides forever. (1 John 2:15-17)

Samson thought for a few moments that he could be friends with the world. We all do that, but the world is programmed to destroy God’s people, no matter how friendly they appear to be outwardly. Your enemies know how to be friendly and how to make you feel comfortable while they set you up for destruction. Spiritual beings without bodies under Satan’s jurisdiction are everywhere in planet earth and their whole goal is to destroy God’s kingdom and God’s people. Believers who are overly friendly with those who love the world and the things of the world put their calling of God upon the back burner. And after the world rejects you and tries to destroy you, then you will discover there is really nothing of this world that you will want to stay attached to. Jesus succeeded in every area where Samson failed.

When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. (1 Corinthians 13:11)

If you are a true believer in Jesus, you will put away the childish things of the flesh to walk with God and run in the Spirit by faith. You will focus your eyes upon Heaven, and you will run to win. You will walk with God by faith. You will work to overcome all things. You will live to please God. You will save Samson to destroy all of the enemies of God that have ruled over you all your life so you can glorify God. You will do all that you do to glorify God. Saving Samson is the formula for turning Christ’ redemption into your salvation.

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:13-14)

Saving Samson is about saving about you from Satan’s powers of death through the Spirit of Christ in you. Saving Samson is about the heavenly father and His sons. God is enlarging His heavenly family. God is having more Sons. Through receiving the Holy Spirit of the only begotten Son of God into our hearts, we become the sons of God. Just like God saved Samson’s calling to destroy the enemies of God and demonstrate the strength of Christ, even so we must save Samson within us and get the victory that glorifies God as we walk by faith. God is pleased when we appropriate Christ and win. Then like Samson, you will pick your calling of God back up upon your shoulders and run for God with all your might.

For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. (1 John 5:4-5)

The world says, “You have nothing to fear but fear itself,” or “Be all that you can be, or “Quench your thirst,” or “Live for the moment,” or “No worries, be happy”, or “Spread the love,” or “You only live once,” or “Image is everything,” etc. etc.etc. Jesus says, “I am the way, the truth and the life. Nobody can come unto God but BY me. (John 14:6) He also said, “They that are of the truth hear my voice.” (John 18:37) God expects you to overcome everything that separates you from God by the power of Christ in you. Jesus paid a great price for you to win the victory that He secured for us. We don’t just receive the victory, but we enter into His victory by faith so that it becomes our victory. When you overcome the lusts of the flesh and the ways of death, you are glorifying God, He supernaturally empowers you to do His will, which is good for everyone. As you glorify God with all your might and all your strength, then the strongholds of darkness will come tumbling down and you will live and not die. While the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing, God is sitting in His holy hill laughing at His enemies. God wants you to win more than you want to win. We all go through the same process Samson went through to be blinded by the world. We live by the satanic lifestyle of the self-program of sin to be our own gods. That lifestyle ends in death. Even so we must save Samson by becoming blind to the world to overcome all things and be delivered from Satan’s powers of death.  That is how we honor Jesus and bring glory to God.

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God. (1 Corinthians 2:7-9)

This is another part of God’s picture that He shows us through Samson. We were born under Satan’s dominion of death and the Bible says He is the god of this world. (2 Corinthians 4:4) Jesus called Satan the prince of this world. (John 14:30) He has ruled over all mankind since the fall of Adam. Satan flaunted this fact to Jesus during His forty day fast and Jesus didn’t argue about it. Jesus told Satan that man will only live by every word that comes from the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4) The only way of escape from Satan’s dominion is through the redemption of Jesus Christ. He has conquered Satan, death, hell and the grave for us. When we come to our senses and realize we are going to die and without God we will be lost forever, then we will bow to God with all our might like Samson and the redemption of Christ will become our salvation. God wants us to come to Heaven, but we must go through the change of spiritual nature that fits us for Heaven. We have to cry out to God with all our hearts and we have to push against the mental strongholds of Satan in our minds with all our hearts to be quickened by the Spirit of Christ in our hearts so we can live forever in Heaven. Only then will Satan with his principalities and powers of the kingdom of darkness, recognize your spiritual citizenship and lose their dominion over you. In that moment when you truly bow to God with all your might like Samson, you will be born again of the Spirit of God and your citizenship will be registered in Heaven. (Philippians 3:20-21) We have to come to God with all our hearts just like Jesus obeyed God with all His heart and destroyed Satan’s dominion over the spirits of all men that are born again of His Spirit. The deliverance that Jesus wrought for us belongs to you, but you must believe in Him for it to manifest in your heart for you to receive. (John 3:15-16) We can’t think our way into Heaven. We can’t work our way into Heaven, but we can believe ourselves into Heaven. By faith in Christ, His redemption becomes our salvation forever. That is the gift of God to all who believe in Christ.

And Samson called unto the Lord, and said, O Lord God, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes. And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood, and on which it was borne up, of the one with his right hand, and of the other with his left. And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life. (Judges 16:28-30)

They brought Samson to the great feast just like they brought Jesus to the Pharisees during the great feast. The brought Samson as a spectacle of entertainment, but Samson groaned in his heart to glorify God one more time (just like Jesus did). While the whole crowd was laughing at the blind strong man (just like they did with Jesus). Samson cried out to God with his heart (just like Jesus did upon the cross) and God heard His cry. When you cry out to God with your heart, He will respond to you also. Samson stood between the two main foundation pillars of the temple, and he stretched out his arms wide (like Jesus did upon the cross). As Samson gave all his strength to God, the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him again one last time for the glory of God. This next part is the key to truly saving Samson. Watch carefully! Samson bowed himself with all his might; (which became God’s might). We must do the same! If we are going to experience a change of spiritual nature and be saved from the powers of death, we must bow before God with all our hearts and with all our might. The scripture says;

Love the Lord with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your soul and with all your strength. (Luke 10:27)

We have to cry out to God with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our strength and with all our might like Samson did. Only when you bow to the Lord your God with all your heart and all your might, will you be quickened by His Spirit and receive the witness of the Spirit in your heart that your citizenship in Heaven is now ordained by God forever. Only then will you be able to love your neighbor as yourself and forgive your enemies. Only then will you destroy the influences of the rulers of the darkness of this world over your heart and soul. Samson bowed himself into position to push against the pillars with all his might so that the temple fell upon the people and their rulers. He killed more of God’s enemies in his death than he did in his life (just like Jesus did). Samson demonstrated what Jesus did for us upon the cross. Samson’s final conquest is God’s big picture to us of Christ upon the cross. It is also a picture of the believer who cries unto God with all his heart and destroys the strongholds of Satan over his soul. The Bible says, that if Satan would have known what God was doing with Jesus upon the cross, He would not have crucified the Lord of glory. (1 Corinthians 2:8) Jesus has crushed the head of the serpent and destroyed his powers of death for us all just as God originally promised Adam and Eve and us in them. (Genesis 3:15) When we cry out unto God with all our hearts and all our might, we are saving Samson (Christ in us) forever.

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. (John 3:14-17)

Samson is another great mystery of his-story in the Bible. Because of the redemption that Christ provided for us as our substitute upon the cross, the innocent dying for the guilty, now we can return unto God in our hearts as though we have never sinned. We can be quickened by His Holy Spirit be made fit for Heaven forever. God will treat us as though we have never sinned because God punished innocent Jesus as our substitute upon the Cross. When we cry out to God and bow our hearts unto Him, then we are quickened by the Spirit of Christ, and we become new creatures that never existed before, and we are going to live forever with Him. Jesus said, “Just as you were born into this world, even so you must be born again, or you cannot enter the Kingdom of God.” (2 Corinthians 5;17, John 3:3-7) The death of Christ upon the cross made the new birth and resurrection possible for us.

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (1 Corinthians 12:9-11)

Even though we may be right with God, our actions have consequences not just for us but others also. Obeying God changes our character, our actions and our effects upon others. Samson’s outward strengths actually camouflaged His inward weaknesses of character. Here in this passage of scripture the apostle Paul stands out as the New Testament Samson. Samson was strong in the flesh but weak in the Spirit, while Paul learned how to become weak in the flesh and strong in the Spirit. The Spirit not only came upon the Apostle Paul like Samson, but the anointing of the Holy Spirit dwelled within him because he learned how to die unto sin and live unto God. Samson became strong in the Spirit when he became blinded to the things of the flesh. As blind as we are to spiritual things, we can glorify God by bowing our hearts unto Him. Bowing unto God brings about our death unto the sin nature that we inherited from Adam, so we can live unto God through the Son nature of the Spirit of Christ in you. Just like the Spirit came upon Samson, God wants you to know that He will fill you with the Spirit of Christ and you will be born again of Him. (2 Corinthians 5:17) God is bringing imperfect people to Heaven through the redemption and salvation of Christ. His redemption becomes our salvation by faith as we are quickened by His Spirit. In this world you are male, female, English, Spanish, French, etc., but in God’s world you are a new creature that never existed before, born of the Spirit of Christ. An earthly inheritance comes by death, but the eternal inheritance comes by dying unto self and being born again of God through Christ in us. You can just pray to God with your heart like Samson did, and God will respond to you and the Spirit of the Lord will come mightily upon you and quicken you like He did with Samson. You will cut the chords of Satan’s powers of sin, death and hell in your life. You will go through the process of dying to the gods of this world, along with the lusts and lies of the flesh and you will become alive unto the one true God of Abraham forever. As you grow up spiritually you will tear the lion (Satan) to pieces with your bare hands (your heart). (1 Peter 5:8) Are you ready to save Samson in you?

I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye-salve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come into him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (Revelation 3:18)

You can pray like this;

God, I have sinned many sins and have lived to be my own god. I now declare you as my God and I turn from the ways of death. I turn to you with all my heart. Jesus I invite you into my heart. Forgive me of my sins. Thank you for dying for me upon the cross to pay the death penalty that belonged to me as a sinner. Quicken me by your Spirit and help me to die unto the ways of death that I’ve been living by all my life. I will live by you and glorify you the rest of my days. Jesus I believe you died my death upon the cross and that you were punished in my place so you could give me your divine nature of life. I believe you have redeemed me from Satan’s powers of death and that you have risen from the dead for me. I lay down my earthly sin nature and receive your heavenly gift of the divine nature in me. Holy Spirit, open my eyes and turn me from darkness to light. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!

He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches. (Revelation3:5-6)

If you prayed unto God with your heart, the Bible says you have been born again of the Spirit of Christ in your spirit. You have saved Samson (your heart) forever and the Spirit of the Lord has come upon you, and He is now within you. Your carnal mind will fight you to make you continue in the lusts of the flesh. but don’t worry. As you follow your heart and grow up spiritually, your mind will also go through the change. If you prayed unto God with your heart, you now have a new spirit that is fit for Heaven. It is now the Spirit of Christ in you. When you cried unto God with your heart like Samson did, God heard your cry, and in doing so, you saved Samson in you. When you prayed unto God with all your heart, all the rulers of this world lost their control over you. When you were young, you once were strong in the flesh, but now you are living unto God, and you will become strong in the Spirit.

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in glory. (Colossians 3:1-4)

If your heart has truly opened unto God, the eyes of your heart can now see the things of God. Because you have received the Spirit of Christ with all your heart, now you are a new creature. Everything that has happened unto Christ has spiritually happened unto you through the Spirit of Christ in you. His redemption has now become your salvation. By faith, you have died with Him, and by faith you have risen with Him and by faith you must now set your affections on heavenly things. Just as Samson destroyed the rulers of this world over his people through His death by the power of God, even so Jesus through His death has destroyed all of Satan’s rulers of the darkness of this world over the souls of His people. (Ephesians 6:12) Because of His great love for you, Jesus through death has destroyed Satan’s powers of death over you and now your heart has become the heart of Samson. (Ephesians 2:4) While you’re in this world you are like Samson unto Satan. Now through Christ in you, your life will become a divine event of walking with God and defeating every spiritual enemy like Samson. It will take you the rest of your life to grow up into Christ and be filled with His fulness, but that is the direction you are headed. (Ephesians 3;19, Colossians 2:10-15) Your enemies are the invisible powers of Satan that destroy the souls of men. They have ruled over you all your life. Your enemies are the lusts of the flesh, the desires of the world, the lies of men and the ways of death through the spiritual nature of the flesh passed down to you as the progeny of Adam. Satan ruled over you through the great lie of his “be your own god SELF-program of SIN with its wicked mindsets, thoughts, imaginations and attitudes of demonic powers  like the Philistines. (2 Corinthians 10:5-6, 2 Corinthians 5:17) Now you are in the family of God, and you have an inheritance reserved for you in Heaven, but until you arrive at the gates of pearl, you will learn to be led of the Holy Spirit. There will be times when the Spirit will come mightily upon you like He did with Samson. (Acts 2:4, Joel 2:28)

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12) This charge I commit unto you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on you, that you by them might war a good warfare; (1 Timothy 1:18)

Just like Samson you will overcome the flesh, the world and the devil in your life and the power of God will come mightily upon you to war a good warfare. You will learn how to crucify the flesh nature so you can live by the divine nature of the Spirit of Christ who now lives in you. Now you will begin to war in your heart against those attitudes of destruction and ways of death in the mind. You will begin to glorify God in your heart, and you will now be able to feel His presence within. Old things have passed away and all things have become new because you cried out unto God and He heard your prayer. (2 Corinthians 5:17) Now because you prayed unto God with your heart, you are a new creature in Christ Jesus. It happened in a split second, the moment you prayed unto God. Now God is for you, and He is with you. He will guide you into all truth while you are on the highway to Heaven. You will learn how to walk with God by faith like our father Abraham did. God likes to watch us overcome the enemy. He sits in Heaven and laughs at our enemies while we overcome. He rewards every believer who dares to overcome and accomplish the impossible. We bring glory to God when we overcome the flesh, the world, and the devil in our lives. God promises us in the book of (Revelation 3) that He will do eight wonderful things for us when we overcome, that will last forever. Eight is the number of redemption!

He That Overcomes,

  1. The same shall be clothed in white raiment;
  2. And I will not blot out his name out of the book of life,
  3. But I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
  4. Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation
  5. I make a pillar in the temple of my God
  6. He shall go no more out
  7. I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God
  8. I will grant you to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in His throne

If you let Him, God will open your eyes to see that your enemies are really the same enemies as Samson’s. There is a Samson in every heart and there is a Delilah in every soul and God expects you to conquer your soul with all the might of your heart. You have had your victories, but your triumph was only for a moment.

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)

Every time you deny lust, you are saving Samson. Every time you refuse to lie, you are saving Samson. Every time you love your enemy, you are saving Samson. When you cast your cares upon God, you are saving Samson. Every prayer you pray for your enemies is saving Samson in you. Every lie you refuse to believe is saving Samson in you. Every evil communication you cast down is saving Samson in you. Every way of death you escape from is saving Samson in you. When you overcome the devil, you are saving Samson. Every time you pray unto God, Christ is being formed in you. You will come to learn that Samson is really Christ in you, and you will realize that you are just a pilgrim on planet earth like our father Abraham. Your citizenship is now in Heaven, and you have an eternal inheritance reserved for you there. (1 Peter 1:4)

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. (2 Timothy 3:1-7)

Dangerous times are here. It’s hard to tell the difference now between your enemy and your friend. The nature of the flesh man is out of control. Everyone is out for themselves. What is bad is now good and what is good is now bad. The whole world is out of control. Nation is rising up against nation. Deception is running rampant. This is not new. It was like this all the way through the history of the Bible. God has been saving men and preparing them for Heaven from the very beginning. God provided redemption for you through Christ upon the cross and Jesus rose again FOR YOU. Now that you have seen your redemption that was accomplished for you and you have responded unto God, you now must apply His redemption in your heart so that it saves you. You must save Samson from the old sin nature as you live by Jesus to walk in His divine nature. You must overcome all the programming the world has instilled into your mind and learn to live before God in your heart. That is how you overcome and bring glory unto God and He rewards you with eternal rewards as your overcome all things by the Holy Spirit of Christ in you. He is with you and He will be with you unto the end of the world.

(Ephesians 6:10-12)

The devil is very real, but if you have prayed unto God with all your heart, he is no longer your spiritual father. God is now your spiritual father, and He is saving Samson in you. Dangerous times will come. The devil roams all over the world like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. (1 Peter 5:8) Samson killed the lion with his bare hands. God is calling you to do the same to the serpent called the devil. You must tread on the devil’s head until he is dead in you. Every day we live in this world, God expects us to be on guard against Satan our enemy who is the great deceiver and destroyer. The devil has many things planned for your life. Without God you will die in your sins and be lost forever. Without God you will remain limited to your own devices. But we must know that God is God and He will always be God. It is He who has made us and not we ourselves. (Psalm 100:3) Whatever you accomplish in this life and no matter how rich or famous you are, without returning to God all will be lost. (Psalm 100:3) What can a man give in exchange for his soul? The answer is your heart. (Mark 8:36-37) Give God your heart and He will give you back your soul. The only thing you can do to save your soul is to believe God who wants to save your soul and bring you into Heaven forever. (2 Thessalonians 2:13) God is in the soul saving business. Now it is no longer I that lives but Christ who lives in me. (Galatians 2:20) He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come. (Romans 16:13) God loves you and He will redeem your life from destruction. (Psalm 103:4-5) Just like every father and son relationship, God is the father of spirits, and He is bringing many sons unto glory. (Hebrews 12:9) Just like God saved Samson, even so through the Spirit of Christ He is saving Samson in us that we might love Him and glorify Him forever. (Hebrews 2:10, 12:9) When the Spirit of the Lord comes upon you mightily like He came mightily upon Samson, you will leap and jump for joy praising God for the victory. You will grow up into Christ in all things and begin to exercise dominion over the devil in Jesus’ name like Adam should have done. (Luke 10:19)

Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receives the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that strives for the mastery is temperate in all things. (1 Corinthians 9:24)

I haven’t covered every event of Samson in the natural and that is by design. You’ll notice that I didn’t talk about Delilah and how the devil used her against Samson, etc. I have just presented some of the spiritual issues that show how Samson represents Christ upon the cross dying for you. We are all called of God to walk with Him and destroy our spiritual enemies for His glory. We all have suffered under Satan’s dominion and need God’s supernatural intervention to be saved. God has provided Jesus Christ as the real Samson who has destroyed Satan’s powers of death over us. Hopefully this blog has been stout, repetitive and revealing enough to put your soul on alert that there are alien spirit beings without bodies, constantly roaming the earth and working to destroy your soul forever. But God has made provision for you to save Samson in your heart. God wants you to win, to live and not die. God has made provision for you to overcome all things for His glory. No matter what happens, God is with you and He will empower you to overcome all things. (Romans 12:21)  Glorify God in your body and in your Spirit with joy unspeakable and full of glory. (1 Peter 1:7-9, 1 Corinthians 6:12) Time is short and the days are evil. (Ephesians 5:14-15)

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he says. (Mark  11:23)

Notice there is three times more saying than believing in this passage of scripture. What we believe with our hearts come out of our mouths. Jesus is telling us how to save Samson in our hearts. Jesus said that mountains of unseen enemies will move out of your way when you believe and speak God’s words. Samson destroyed more of the enemies of God during his death than he did during his life. The historical event of Samson’s death is another demonstration of God showing us ahead of time how Jesus, through His death, destroyed more enemies in His death than He did during His life. By now you understand that Jesus was the real Samson who destroyed Satan and all his principalities and powers of death over all mankind(1 John 3:8) This is the whole gospel in a nutshell and Samson was one of God’s great examples. If this is the only truth that sticks with you for the rest of your life, then this blog has done its job and you are better off. Christ died upon the cross as our substitute and was punished in our place by God so we can live by Him unto God as though we have never sinned. Jesus came from Heaven to be a ransom for us so we might have the opportunity to return unto God. Upon the Cross, Jesus took our condemnation before God, suffered our punishment, and gave us His righteousness before God because He loves you. His resurrection is the victory that belongs to you as the gift of God. (Genesis 3:15) As you bow your heart and pray unto God with all your might like Samson and Jesus did as they died, you will die unto Satan’s dominion of death and be born again of the Spirit of Christ. His redemption and resurrection power will become yours. You will walk by faith and not by sight. You will walk with God all the way unto Heaven like our father Abraham. You will overcome spiritual enemies that have ruled over you all your life because you saved Samson, the Spirit of Christ in you.

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. (Act 26:18)

If God has opened your eyes; that’s wonderful. Now if you want to be turned from darkness to light so you can experience the power of God and receive forgiveness of sins, the ball is now in your court. God created all of us and He wants to save Samson in all of us. He will do that right now for you right now if you will pray unto Him with all your heart. Now is always the day of salvation. (2 Corinthians 6:1) It may feel strange praying for the first time, but God will hear your words and He will take you at your word. If you invite the true Samson, which is Jesus Christ, into your heart, He will put His Spirit in your heart and you will become a new creature who is a brand new citizen of Heaven forever with an eternal inheritance. (1 Peter 1:4, Hebrews 9:15) God is still enlarging His heavenly family with more Sons. (Galatians 4:4-7) That is the Secret of Eternity. Jesus has taken the punishment that belonged unto you upon the cross so He could purchase God’s mercy towards you and redeem you from Satan’s curse of dominion and powers of death. Jesus has risen from the dead having destroyed Satan’s powers of death over all mankind and now He offers you eternal life as you call upon Him. It only becomes yours when you ask for it of your own free will.

For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God. (Ezekiel 36:24-28)

Again I say for a second time, If you haven’t prayed unto God yet, do that Now! Today could be your last day on earth. (James 4:14) God will hear your voice and receive you as His own child. He will walk with you for the rest of your life. He will promote you and grow you up into His very own son and give you an eternal inheritance that is reserved for you in Heaven. (1 Peter 1:4) Just do what Samson did to please God. Just open your arms wide and pray to God with all your heart and you will destroy the hold of spiritual enemies that have ruled over you all your life. You might say words like these;

Heavenly Father, I come to you with all my heart. I ask you to forgive me of all my sins and quicken me by your Spirit with the divine nature of Christ. I am a sinner, but I now give you my heart and ask you to save me from the powers of death in Jesus name. I ask you to be my God and receive me as your very own child. Jesus come into my heart and give me eternal life. I believe you died for me on the cross to accomplish redemption for me and bring me unto God. I believe you have risen from the dead and that you quicken me by your Spirit and give me new life. Heavenly father, I believe you make me a new creature in Christ Jesus and that you make all things new and reveal truth for eternity unto me. In Jesus name I ask.

All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of Him that sent me. (John 6:37-38)

These words are just an example of how to pray. Whatever you say unto God with all your heart, God will hear your voice and He will answer you. (Galatians 4:6, 1 John 2:20, 27) God will reveal Himself to you personally and you will know that God is real and that He loves you and that you are safe forever. (Hebrews 12:9) Your heart knows that the one true God of Heaven and earth is the real God and it will never be satisfied until it knows that God loves you and that you are safe forever because of the goodness of Jesus Christ. When you cry unto God with all your heart, He quickens your spirit by His Spirit and all those enemies within are defeated by the power of God. The Spirit of Christ in you is the true Samson. When you responded to God and prayed that simple prayer with all yur might, you saved Samson in your heart, became born again of the Spirit of Christ and you destroyed the curse of Satan’s dominion over you. You are now a new creature in Christ. (Galatians 6:15) If you have prayed that prayer, you have saved Samson (your heart). God has quickened you by His Spirit and He will reveal truth for eternity unto you. As you learn of Him you will see that your spiritual nature has changed. Then He will teach you how to grow up spiritually, how to walk in His dominion and conquer your spiritual enemies by faith through the Spirit of Christ in you(Romans 8:37, 12:21, John 16:33)  Amen. If you have prayed unto God, then that roaring lion that pounced upon your spirit at your birth, you have torn to pieces with your bare heart. You now belong unto the Lord and by praying with your heart you have received His Spirit and you in His spiritual family. (Ephesians 3:15, 1 John 5:19) As the redeemed of the Lord, you have the authority of His name to exercise dominion over every enemy of God. Any mountain that stands in your way, just come against it speaking the words of God in the name of Jesus. Speak to every enemy and every mountain that stands between you and God and believe that the things you are speaking will come to pass. (Mark 11:23-24)

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

If you cried out unto God with your heart, you did exactly what Samson did. You passed from death in this world to life in God’s world. (John 5:24) You have a whole new life in front of you and it is eternal. (1 John 3:14) It is the lifestyle of adventures in faith as you walk with God the way all the Bible heroes did. (Hebrews 11) Now the spiritual war has begun. You were trained by the devil to be your own god, do your own will, go your own way, and live for self through Satan’s self-program. Now you are free to live by Jesus, walk with God and experience the resurrection power of Christ by faith. The devil isn’t happy that you called out to God, but the moment you prayed unto God, you changed kingdoms. (Colossians 1:12) Your spirit has been sealed in the name of Jesus and cleansed  by the blood of Christ. Jesus has paid the penalty for all your sins. You are now considered innocent and clean before God of all your sins. Jesus never sinned and He took your punishment upon the cross so you could come to live with him forever in Heaven as though you never sinned. Now while you are in this world, you will fight the good fight of faith and lay hold of eternal life. (1 Timothy 6:12) That is the only fight we are called to fight, the good fight of believing God no matter what. The good fight is the spiritual fight for the treasure of the human heart. Just as Samson defeated his enemies, and then defeated God’s enemies, even so you will defeat every enemy through Christ in you. The thought patterns of Satan’s lies were strongholds that held you in bondage so that you were blind to the things of God. The lusts of the flesh burned your spiritual eyesight just like Samson so you could not see the things of the Spirit. Now you are saving Samson and becoming the victor through the Spirit of Christ in you. (1 John 4:17)

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; (Ephesians 6:11-18)

This passage reveals the warfare of your soul while you are in this world. God has set you up to win through Christ in you. Jesus has historically taken back the dominion Adam gave unto Satan over the world during His resurrection. He got the dominion back for us who believe in Him. Now by faith we exercise dominion over our enemy Satan in the name of Jesus. (Luke 10:19, Matthew 16:17-20, Mark 11:23-24) Through death, Jesus has crushed the head of the serpent (Satan) for us. (Genesis 3:15) That means that your are not only free from the spiritual nature of the flesh bequeathed unto you by the old man Adam, you are also free to live by the divine nature of the new man in Christ, which will take you all your life to learn. So you can continue living by the old man of the flesh or you can live by faith through the new man of the Spirit of Christ in you. God is pleased when we walk by faith and not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:6-8)

Adam gave the whole human race to Satan and in Adam we are all destined to die and be lost forever. God doesn’t want that and neither do we. The second man who came from Heaven is Christ. Jesus undid all that the first man did. Like Samson, through death Jesus destroyed Satan’s rulership of dominion over man for us. (Hebrews 2:14) God created us to be His very own Sons. That is the Secret of Eternity. Adam lost that right for us, but Jesus got that right back for us all and He quickens us by His Spirit when we believe in our hearts. (Matthew 11:28-30) If you will bow your heart unto God with all your might like Samson did, God will quicken you by His Spirit. You will walk in the power of His might and destroy the spiritual enemies of your soul also. As a believer in Christ, you are the spiritual Samson. In bowing unto God and giving Him your heart, you have destroyed the power of the rulers of this world over you. By believing in Jesus, you have saved Samson in your heart. Jesus paid the price for you to overcome all things and inherit the glory of God, so think on these things and save Samson in you. Give God your whole heart and He will arrange things for you and work things out to move every mountain and every enemy out of your way. Jesus demonstrated the victory of faith in everything He did and if you prayed unto God with your heart, your spirit has been quickened by the Holy Spirit and the anointing of His Spirit dwells in you now. (Roman 8:11)

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. (1 Peter 5:8)

Just like Samson conquered God’s enemies in his life, even so Jesus conquered all our spiritual enemies for us. (Matthew 28:18-20) Now God expects you to live by Jesus and conquer all His enemies also. You can destroy those worldly attitudes and ways of death that have ruled over you all your life by putting on the Lord Jesus Christ in your heart. (Romans 13:13-14) This is a long blog packed with spiritual meat and drink. You may have to read it a couple times to get the full impact of it. One thing I’ve noticed is that spiritual revelation starts with a seed that grows into a tree and as you cry out with your heart (focus on each line and precept of the seed of truth with your heart) eventually it blooms with revelation that is designed to become the divine nature of Christ in you. That’s what God is doing. He is bringing many sons unto glory. (Hebrews 2:10) It’s not just learning truth, which is wonderful, but it’s also applying the truth like medicine to your flesh so it becomes Christ in you. We ask God in prayer to put us in the Spirit of Christ so we can be born again of His spiritual nature and live forever, but after than we learn to live by Christ in us and we grow in the hope of glory. (Colossians 1:24-29) In the Bible, our learning truth and applying truth is called repentance. We can learn truth but if we don’t apply it, the it won’t change our spiritual nature. We must chew upon the knowledge of Christ so that His divine nature becomes our meat and drink so we can grow up into Christ, because we must go through a change of spiritual nature before we can enter into Heaven. (Ephesians 4:15) Did you get that?

As the living Father has sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eats me, even he shall live by me. This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eats of this bread shall live for ever. (John 6:57-71)

Eating Christ is chewing and chewing on a truth with your heart until it changes your spiritual nature. Receiving His words, thinking His thoughts, walking in His ways, ignites His supernatural power in our hearts so that we believe it and live by it and our spiritual nature changes. Repentance is allowing God to change our natural man into the spiritual man of Christ in us. As we live by His truth, His Spirit swallows up our good and evil self and transforms us into the spiritual man of Christ in us. The truth of God is a great ocean and concepts of truth come to us in waves. Every wave of truth brings a new way of obeying God and living by Jesus. Though I have all knowledge but have not the divine nature of Christ’s love in me, it profits me nothing. (1 Corinthians 13:1-2) All my good works are no more than honking horns and tinkling symbols. How do I know Christ is forming in me? My ways are changing. I am departing from the evil nature of self and I’m learning to live by Jesus, obeying God, loving my enemies, doing good and healing all that are oppressed of the devil through the measure of Christ in me. (Acts 10:38, Ephesians 4:13) We are all born with the call of God on our lives like Samson. We are all called by God to be like Samson to the devil while we are in this world. We all get caught up in the world just like Samson. We all lose sight of God’s call on our lives. We all become blinded to the truth of eternity. We all grow up being trained by the world to live by the outward man, obeying the good and evil sin nature packaged as the self-program. When we respond to God and He quickens us by His Spirit and we begin our quest to live by Jesus. As we believe the truth we find ourselves spiritually fighting against the lusts of the flesh and everything that held us in bondage to the ways of death. (Proverbs 14:12) The world puts the fire of its lies to our spiritual eyes so we can’t see the things of God. But when we purpose in our hearts to believe the truth and glorify God with our lives, God puts His super on our natural so we can destroy the dominion of the rulers of the darkness of this world over our lives. This glorifies God. Our belief of the truth and living by Jesus is how God saves Samson, which is Christ in us.

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: My God; in Him will I trust. Surely He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, And from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; Nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; Nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; But it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, Even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, Neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For He shall give His angels charge over thee, To keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, Lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: The young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. (Psalm 91:1-13)

Listen Up Folks! (Isaiah 34:1) We are in the last days.(2 Timothy 3:1) Truth is your real treasure. (Matthew 6:21) How long, you simple ones, will ye love simplicity? The scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? (Proverbs 1:22) Perilous times are coming! (2 Timothy 3:1) Time is running out and Eternity is about to begin. (1 Corinthians 7:29) The whole world is under the power of the darkness and wickedness of the evil one. (Ephesians 6:12, 1 John 5:19) Get yourself ready! (Ezekiel 38:7) Wake up you mighty men! (Ephesians 5:14) Believe the truth and not the lies. (2 Timothy 2:3) Lift up your hands to the God of Heaven. (Psalms 134:2) Lift up your voice and cry out unto the Lord with all your heart. (Isaiah 40:9) He will answer you. (Isaiah 30:19, Matthew 7:7) He will be with you. (Isaiah 43:2) He will save you. (Isaiah 35:4)  Set your eyes upon God like Samson did, because He is where you help comes from. (Psalm 121:1-2) God will empower you just like He did Samson. As you walk by faith, trusting in the Lord, He will empower you to rent your troubles in two with your bare hands. What looked impossible will now become easy for you because the Lord is on your side. You will not fear but you will be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. (Ephesians 6:10) Turn to Him with all your heart and receive the power of God like Samson did. (Joel 2:12) Cry out loud! Don’t hold back! Lift up your voice like a trumpet! (Isaiah 58:1) Speak the words of God out loud in Jesus’ name. Exercise authority over the enemy in Jesus name. Save Samson in your inner man, no matter what, before it is too late. (Isaiah 45:22) Jesus is coming and His reward is with Him. (Revelation 22:12-13) God says if you will give your heart to Him, He will save you forever because He loves you and while you live, you shall live by Jesus and reign in life by Christ in you. (John 6:57, Romans 5:17) You walk in the Spirit and glory in the Lord. (2 Corinthians 10:17) Like Samson, you will tear down those good and evil pillars of knowledge that the rulers of the darkness of this world have used to rule over you all your life (Ephesians 6:12) and nothing shall be impossible for you. (Luke 1:37) Become blind like Samson to the things of this world and focus the eyes of your heart on glorifying God and you will be able to look at the things which are not seen. (2 Corinthians 4:18)

“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.” (Psalm 91:14-16)
