Fresh Water, Clean Water

For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: (Ezekiel 36:24-29)

In almost all cases Truth is better than lies. Truth is the only thing that will cleanse us from lies. In the spirit realm Truth is the law of the universe and holds the universe together. Anything that creates or makes a lie, God destroys. God offers us fresh clean water that will cleanse us of everything that separates us from Him. Why are we separated from Him? It is because we are born separated from Him. This is part of the Secret of the Bible. In the Garden of Eden God put the whole human race in one man and God called that man Adam. God gave Adam the freedom to choose the lifestyle of death or life. Adam chose the lifestyle of death, built upon Satan’s be your own God agenda. The moment Adam chose to walk away from God he carried the whole human race with him. Every human being ever born was in Adam’s loins and what Adam did affected us. Adam chose the “be your own god” lifestyle Satan provided and in doing so Satan became the god of this world the Bible says. Death has had dominion over man ever since. As a result, we live the lie, of being our own gods until we die and are separated from God forever. God didn’t want this. Death was never a part of God’s original plan. Death is an enemy of God and man. God knew this would happen and immediately promised Adam and Eve a savior, sent from Heaven, to reverse the curse for us. God sent Jesus from Heaven to earth to fix man’s death problem. Jesus came, born of a virgin so He didn’t have Adam’s spiritual nature. Jesus walked with God because it was His nature to walk with God. Jesus has always walked with God and Jesus always will walk with God. He came from Heaven to earth to tell us the truth and to show us the life that is eternal. Then Jesus died upon the cross to give us the life that is eternal. Jesus conquered death for us that we might live forever through Him. God said He will gather people out of all the earth, sprinkle clean water on them and put His Spirit in them and cleanse them from their filthiness and be their God and they will be His people.

Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off. (Isaiah 55:6-13)

The way God sprinkles us is with His words. The words of God go forth out of His mouth and come down from Heaven like the rain to cleanse the earth, to make it bring forth and bud fruitful plants that please Him. Just as the Heavens are higher than the earth, so are His thoughts higher than our thoughts and His ways higher than our ways. So God sprinkles us with His words. It is the words of God that carry the cleansing washing life giving power of God within them. They come down from Heaven and through our eyes and ears into our hearts to give us His life and eternal perspective of truth. God’s words wash and cleanse and quicken us by the power of His Spirit so we can become alive unto Him. The Bible says Jesus only spoke the words of God so He was full of the Spirit without measure. Jesus said we become clean before God when God’s word of Truth fills our hearts.

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. (John 17:17)

Again, Truth is better than lies. Truth is the only thing that will cleanse us from lies. In this passage of scripture Jesus prayed three things. Here is how the Truth works to prepare us for eternity.

  1. Sanctify them
  2. Sanctify them through thy Truth
  3. Thy word is truth

This is exactly how the Bible works. Humans are not fit for Heaven. Yet God wants everyone to come to Heaven and live with Him forever. This is the definition of a spiritual dilemma. A good creator will not create a universe only to let it die. Yet a good creator will give its creature the freedom to determine his own eternal destiny. Man was separated from God in the beginning leaving the world with a “be your own god” culture that ends in death. The Bible teaches us how God made it possible for us to be born again of His Spirit and come to Heaven through His only son Jesus Christ. God is good all the time and through His goodness He has provided for every soul an inheritance in Heaven. Yet not all will respond to God and His goodness. The Bible says many will be lost. Why is that the case? Many will choose to continue to live their lives without God so they cannot possibly appropriate the heavenly provision. Others will lose their God given inheritance through their ignorance of the goodness of God. Others will lose what rightfully belongs to them because they knew, but they failed to appropriate the heavenly provision of God’s supernatural power. God wrote the Bible to help us understand the truth so we could appropriate God’s heavenly provision through Jesus Christ.

  1. I Will Sanctify Them.

The word “sanctify” is the Greek word “hageeadzo” and it means “to separate unto God.” It’s important to understand that the natural born human is born into this world in a state of “separation from God.” We live our whole lives unto ourselves. It is human nature to be our own gods, and live for self. We are trained by this world to be all that we can be without God. Because we live by that way of death, we are not compatible with God and unfit for Heaven. To be sanctified means we are set apart unto God. Furthermore, it means we are set apart from the world and set apart unto God. This if frightening to many in the world because their whole life is wrapped up in fame or fortune that comes from identifying with the world. Yet going to Heaven requires a change of attitude, even a change of nature. Many will not be happy in Heaven where they are no longer the stars of society. Many will sacrifice their eternal destiny for a few moments of life in this natural world to be rich and famous or to be all they can be.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. (Mark 8:35-38)

Gain the world, lose his soul? What part of this is the dumb part? What do we give in exchange for our soul? That is the question, no Shakespeare pun intended. Well what can you give in exchange for your soul? The only thing you truly have in this world is your time and you don’t have much of that left. Your time is the only thing you can spend that will reap eternal dividends. What else can you give in exchange for your soul? You can give God your heart. Your heart and your time is what you can give in exchange for your soul. If you lose your soul, you have lost everything. The process of being born and growing up as a human, separated from God, requires a process through which we can come back to God. That is why God wrote the Bible, to help us come back to God.

  1. Through thy Truth

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4)

We are born into a world that operates by the great lie. What is the great lie? It is the remote possibility that the creation can exist and operate without the creator and get along just fine. We are born with the mindset that we can be our own gods and everything will be okay. That is the great lie. We live in a world that believes this lie and operates by this lie and we get paid to buy into the world’s agenda that everything is beautiful in its own way, without God. Those that are called believers in the Bible are ridiculed and mocked and thought to be strange. However, as you read the words of God you will begin to feel something going on inside you. It is the supernatural power of God. Jesus said life comes only through the words of God. The life that is eternal comes from God through the words of God. Every word of God is alive and full of power.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. (Hebrews 4:12-13)

The Words of God are alive and powerful
The power of God only comes through the words of God. The words of God are powered by the Spirit of God and they impart eternal life to the human. The words of God have a two-fold effect upon the creature. They make the creature alive and endue him with power. This means we are spiritually dead and in need of the power of God. The words of God come to the human wrapped up in the power of the Spirit of God. They come into the soul and the heart and make the human alive unto God. The words of God are the containers that carry the divine nature of God into the creature making him compatible with God and fit for Heaven. In any society, the person is not fit for that society without being somewhat familiar with the ways of that society. The same is true with God and His home called Heaven. Without the ability to know God, understand God, and walk with God, we are not fit for Heaven. Every relationship begins with words. As you receive God’s words, your eyes will begin to open like the newborn babe and you will begin to understand God. If you continue to take in God’s words, you will start to see the power of God’s words and their ability to separate you unto God.

Sharper than any two-edged sword
The words of God are like a two-edged sword. Truth has two sides and they are both razor sharp. One side is God’s side and the other side is man’s side. God’s side is the life side and man’s side is the death side. Until we understand the eternal perspective of the truth of death and life, we are clueless and without hope. When the eyes begin to open so the human understands what death is and what life is, the lies begin to be dissolved of their power.

Piercing even to the dividing asunder
The words of God divide. They divide what is truth from all lies. Piercing is the power of God’s word to cleanse the soul of the lies it believes. God must divide the chaff from the wheat. Some things we naturally believe will be pierced asunder from our minds just by knowing truth. Some things we think are normal will be seen as not normal and some things that are natural will be replaced by that which is spiritual.

Of soul and spirit
Just as the farmer must divide the chaff from the wheat, even soul God must divide what is soulical from what is spiritual so we can grow and mature spiritually. If we remain soulical our whole lives and never become spiritual, we will miss the next progression of eternal life that empowers us to put on immortality. God wants us to become spiritual and to grow up spiritually so we can live in Heaven with Him forever, but we must go through the change that makes us fit us for Heaven.

The joints and marrow
Notice the dual effects of the words of God and their intimacy with truth. The joints represent the outward part of man and the marrow represents the inward part of man and they are both intimately connected. As the health of the inward marrow affects the quality of usefulness of the joints, even so the quality of revelation of the words of God affect our ability to become spiritual, to mature spiritually and experience truly walking with God in life.

It is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart
The words of God are alive and powerful and able to discern in us what is truth and what is error so that we can be reproved, corrected and instructed in the way of living life in the presence of God. Notice how our motives determine our thoughts and how our thoughts affect the deeds of our bodies. The words of God help us to judge our motives so we can truly experience change.

Everything is naked before the eyes of God
God sees all our motives, all our thoughts, all our ways, knows our character, sees our deeds, judges our behavior and there is no deception with Him. We are easily deceived and think everything is fine but life is only a moment in eternity and God knows the end from the beginning. But the emphasis lies with the human to choose life with God or life without God. His destiny is determined by our choice. This is the lesson of the first Adam and the last Adam, which is Christ. Adam chose to live life apart from God and his decision was passed on to all his offspring, which includes you and me. However, the last Adam, which is Jesus Christ, chose to live His whole life in dependency upon God and His perfect life was pleasing unto God. When we trust in Jesus, our life is pleasing unto God. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No man cometh unto to the Father but BY me. (John 14:6)

And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. (Revelation 22:10-21)

God invites us to come to Heaven, but He also invites us to walk in the light and experience intimate fellowship with Him. Everything changes and all things become new as we respond to Him and invite Him into our hearts. We become His very own children when we give Him our hearts. Heaven is God’s home and the home of all his children. Heaven is not the place where the stars go to shine and have a vacation forever. Heaven is not the place for people who think their good deeds will outweigh their bad deeds. Heaven requires perfection. This can only be found in the perfect man, the son of God, which is Jesus Christ. Jesus taught and demonstrated what eternal life is. Eternal life is the lifestyle of the Father and Son walk forever. Jesus was the perfect prototype of the working model of what God originally created us to become as we walk with God and learn to know Him as our Heavenly Father. According to the Bible, everything that enjoys lies and the commerce of making lies, will not be going to Heaven. God has invited everyone to drink of the waters of life freely that they might be cleansed and brought back into eternal life. Those who are filthy will remain filthy and those that are clean will remain clean, but there will come a time when your eternal fate will be determined by God’s level of judgment. God will decide whether you have come to Him through His only Son or not. Those that loved living life without God more than living life with God will be separated from God forever and those that loved living life in God’s presence more than living life without God will be separated unto God forever. Our life on earth will determine our eternal destiny in Heaven or not.

  1. Thy Word is Truth

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. (John 15:1-8)

Even though we live in a world that is built on lies, we are supposed to live by God’s word of truth, but that isn’t possible if you don’t know the truth or you know the truth and don’t want to live by the truth. In Heaven, every creature knows the truth and lives by the truth. So the Bible says, God sent His word and healed us. the Bible calls Jesus the word of God. Jesus only spoke the words of God. Jesus said God’s word is truth. On earth, few know the truth and many who know the truth refuse to live by the truth. In the end, no matter how uncomfortable you may become in your attempts to appropriate the truth into your life, truth will always be better than lies.

Husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for it, that He might sanctify it and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word. (Ephesians 5:25-26)

Jesus said you are clean through the words He has spoken unto you. Do you allow Jesus to talk to you? Do you allow Jesus to cleanse you and wash you with His words? How does He speak to you? He speaks to you by His words being IN you? He said if His words are in you they will cause you to become fruitful unto God, but if His words aren’t in you, then you will be a branch that doesn’t bear fruit that God will remove so the rest of the vine can bear more fruit. We can’t bear the kind of fruit God is looking for of ourselves. We can only bear fruit unto God as we abide in Christ and allow Christ to live through us, the same way He allowed God to live through Him. The Spirit of Christ will come inside you, quicken you and empower you to live by Jesus if you give Him your heart.

My sonattend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them and health to all their flesh (Proverbs 4:20-22)

So, you pray a prayer and you think you’ve been born again. Are you sure about that? You meant it when you prayed, but you forgot to change the way you are. Do you still tell lies? Do you still talk story? You talk story so people will like you. You talk story because you still don’t understand the truth. You talk story because it benefits you in some way. You actually believe what you say but you are still deceived because you haven’t learned the word of God says otherwise. God wrote the Bible for us so we can understand the truth. The eternal perspective is built on truth. In the tool and die industry, one makes an object but it is off by 1/32th of an inch. It won’t work. It is the exact model, but it is off just a tiny bit. It is never going to work no matter what you try to do to get it to work, no matter how close it is, it isn’t exactly right. The machine shop will have to send a refund to the buyers when the objects don’t work. The same is true with humans. We don’t work right living life to be our own gods. Satan’s lie of “you can be as gods” is nothing but a lie and living a lie only produces lies. Christians tell lies all the time. Christians lie to themselves constantly. I’m not saying they do it intentionally. They do it naturally. What do I mean? Well, if you don’t know the truth exactly, then you can’t tell the truth naturally. It isn’t necessarily a lie because you mean for it to be. It’s a lie because it isn’t working the way it is meant to work. Truth is better than lies. The Bible tells us the truth. People think the Bible is watered down because it doesn’t agree with any other religion. Religion is against the Truth. The Bible doesn’t water down the truth. Believers by there behavior can water down the truth.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. (John 3:17-21)

Ignorance, deception, laziness, disrespect, ungratefulness, disobedience, are all very good reasons for not knowing truth and entering into the truth. God sent His only son to make it possible for us to come to the knowledge of the truth and be saved. Jesus spoke the words of God to us and when we hear them with our hearts they bring us supernatural power from above. When it is time to die, ignorance will not help you. Ignorance will rob you of eternal glory. Many have heard of John 3:16 but few remember the few verses after this passage tells us what condemns the human before God. It isn’t that they did bad deeds. It is because God brought His light into the world and the human loved darkness rather than light. What is darkness and what is light? Darkness is the wickedness of the heart without truth. The light is Truth. How do we know the human loved darkness rather than the light? It is his deeds that prove he loved darkness rather than light. The Bible goes on to say this; the way we come out of darkness and into the light is by our reproving our deeds. We do the truth to the point that our deeds begin to change so they are being wrought in God. If we won’t allow God to be God in our lives so that He is free to reprove and correct us when we do what offends Him, we are still in the darkness. If we won’t allow God to instruct us in the ways of life that please Him so that the things we do are done with His supervision, then we are still in the darkness and we still love darkness rather than the light of Truth. Faith isn’t just for receiving things from God. Faith is for overcoming the evil within our hearts so that we can walk with God and please God. Jesus prayed saying, “Father sanctify them through thy truth, thy word is truth.” Through Christ in our hearts, teaching us how to deny all ungodliness and change the deeds of the body, we become like Him and fit for Heaven. The deeds of the body are the fruit of the heart. If our heart is still in darkness, the fruit of our deeds is bad fruit. If our heart is in the light so that we enjoy living by Jesus, and we are walking in the light of truth, experiencing fellowship with God, then the deeds of our body have begun to change so that we do the things that please Him. This is how we go from a state of separation from God to a state of separation to God. The Bible never said it was easy, but the truth is it is easy. Jesus did all the work. We receive all the benefits God supernaturally provided for us.

Surely, he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53:4-6)

Jesus did all the work. He died on the cross for you. He bore your sins for you. He was punished in Hell for you. The Bible says, he was strickensmitten of God and afflicted and in that order. To me this means He was beaten for us, put to death by God for us and punished in Hell for us. Everything He did He did for us and it is finished, done and can’t be undone. God so loved us that He gave His only begotten son that whosever believeth in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. That was God’s gift to us. How you respond to the goodness of God and how you receive God’s gift is your gift back unto God.

On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him. (John 7:37-38)

What is your response to God? Are you thirsty for more? Will you drink the waters of life and be clean before God? Will you drink the truth God reveals through His words? Will you enjoy drinking fresh clean water as God reveals truth to you each day you walk with Him in life? Only time will tell, but the truth is eternity has already begun. God has already had his talk with you. God has written 66 books which make up the whole Bible. He has given us 31,101 verses which provide us with 783,137 words that are  charged with the supernatural power of God. What we do with that is our responsibility. God has done His part. Have you done your part? Will you live by the beat of a different drummer or will you just eat, drink and be merry until it is time to die? Drink Fresh Water, Clean Water from Heaven. Jesus says to you right now, If you will open up your heart unto me, I will rain on you by my Spirit with fresh, clean water and you will LIVE.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:13-14)

Pray to Jesus with your all your heart and He will hear you, heal you, cleanse you, quicken you and deliver you so you can be clean before God.
